For the sake of your loved ones, I urge you to go elsewhere. My mother was under the care of Dr. Koduri when she contracted an infection from Miami Valley Hospital after undergoing surgery. She was violently ill and my father took her to see Dr. Koduri. Dr. Koduri misdiagnosed the infection and instead gave her the incorrect antibiotics - thus causing the condition to worse. Several days later when my mom was still extremely sick and ill, Dr. Koduri (much to our surprise) went ahead with the planned chemo treatment for my mother. This ended up compounding her previous errors and was the literal nail in the coffin. We admitted my mother to the ICU 4 days later because she was suffering what we now know to be sepsis. We had to demand an infectious disease doctor examine her (even though a woman with cancer across the hall from us at the ICU was suffering from the same infection after having surgery at Miami Valley at the same time). She was then treated with the correct antibiotics, but it was too late. The damage to her body was irreversible and she died less than 2 weeks later. I urge you to choose another oncologist. As a practicing doctor and hematologist for many years, Koduri's failure to accurately diagnose my mother (who had very distinct symptoms) is unacceptable. We are bringing a medical malpractice suit against her because we believe that, had we chosen another, competent oncologist, my mother would still be alive. Her CA-125 levels were improving steadily from January to April and never in our wildest dreams did we imagine that by sheer error and negligence, she would be dead by the end of May. Please, please choose another doctor. We wish we had.
