I was on the gurney bed, ready for my coloscopy procedure and this doctor (Venkatachala Mohan, MD) came to explain what was gonna happen. English is my second language so I couldn't understand his accent multiple times and I had to ask politely for him to repeat.
In some point, he touched my knee that I thought it was very strange, never a doctor touched my body without my permition nor for no reason.
I didn't have eaten, I was restless, the situation I was in was stressful enough, I couldn't say anything at the time, but the unprofessional behavior bottered me.
After the procedure, my husband arrived, the doctor started to explain my results, when I asked again what he said, he asked me where is was from. SO he started to talk about my country which he said there were a lot of crimes and that an India influencer made a YouTube video about his experience there and he started telling me details about what happened... I was in shock, and trying to defend my country. I said that the Pandemic made the things very hard for a lot of people. Then he added that women from my country wants to marry Indian guys because they would not need visa to come to the United States, serious?!!!
I NEVER HEARD SOMETHING SO UPSETING! My husband is American, I didn't marry to him for a greencard, but it was exactly what he was saying... the situation was so awkward, I couldn't believe I was listening all that bad comments of prejudice from a doctor that I just had coloscopy with, VERY unprofessional... I felt morally and emotionally abused! I can't believe this doctor is working here in America.

This had to be one of the most interesting physicians that I have ever encountered. After asking about what I do for a living, he then insulted my line of work, and proceeded to tell me I should find a new service to work in. Everyone has bad days, although it does not give an excuse to project onto others. In total we spent approximately five minutes discussing my pathology, and the rest pertained to his political and educational background beliefs. Let’s just say I will be undergoing my colonoscopy elsewhere.

Open and honest. No afraid to level with you. Puts one at ease. Reads your prior notes and can discuss your particular background. The staff is professional, however, mix it with a good sense of humor. The nurse that set up the IV gets 5 stars. I have been in situations where it has taken 6 picks whereas she hit the vein on the first try. Kudos!

Colonoscopies aren't fun. But Dr. Mohan and his staff make it about a comfortable and easy as it can be. From the first nurse contact through to the orderly who takes you to your "ride", you experience professionalism, empathy, and kindness. And Dr. Mohan knows his craft and provides comprehensive, yet easy to understand explanations to "any" question you might have.

Dr Mohan is professional, witty and delivered the results of my procedure immediately prior to my discharge. I saw Dr Mohan for the same preventative procedure 10 years ago and will return to him again as directed. The tech that inserted the IV was far too rough and failed to apologize for her abrupt behavior. Rest of staff was outstanding.

I decided to change doctors after being underwhelmed by the doctor I was seeing in this office and picked Dr. Mohan based on other people's high reviews of him. I was not disappointed. I didn't feel rushed at all. Dr. Mohan took his time to learn as much about my medical history as possible and explained things to me in a clear, respectful manner. I appreciated his sense of humor and knowledge. Dr. Mohan is definitely my doctor of choice now.

Mohan is great, he treats me with such care and respect. Really compassionate care and treatment for my UC. We moved somewhat out of the immediate area and still travel back just for him.
