Biography
Dr. Venkat Sethuraman MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in spine surgery. Dr. Sethuraman focuses 100 percent in the care of back and neck pain. Dr. Sethuraman specializes in minimally invasive techniques and keeps current on the newest advances in spinal care. Dr. Sethuraman completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. A fellowship is the most advanced and specialized physician training available. In 2017, Dr. Sethuraman completed his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Sethuraman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (1994) at Rutgers University graduating magna cum laude. He proceeded to earn medical degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (1998). He completed an internship in General Surgery at Thomas Jefferson Universtiy Hospital where he also completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. Following his residency, he went to the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he completed a Spine Fellowship. Dr. Sethuraman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the Association for Ethical Spine Surgeons, the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association and the Thomas Jefferson Alumni Association.
