Dr. Gomez is condescending and rude. She appears to not have respect of opinions of other providers that have previously seen her patients. Spoke with a patient in the waiting room that was scared to see her for a follow up because Dr. Gomez treats her like a " berating Grandma". I have since found a kind and caring provider.

I saw Dr. Julia Gomez in 2014. Went to her because I needed a PCP. Biggest concern I had was my chronic fatigue, muscle and joint pain. Going to chiropractor didn't help with pain I was in. Concerned I had Fibromyalgia . I showed her a print out showing where all I was hurting. She looked at it with a scathing look in her eye and slammed it down in my lap and turned back to look at her laptop.
She did bloodwork and my TSH was low. I had hypothyroidism. Put me on levothyroxine and told me to take Vit D and calcium pills. I don't remember her mentioning my abnormally low iron levels . She told me taking the medication and vitamin d /calcium pills would make me feel better. At first it the thyroid meds helped with pain. But by the time I saw her again I told her the thyroid pills only helped somedays with pain and overall well-being but other times it made me feel like crap. Didn't relieve pain at all.
When I told Dr. Gomez how I felt, her response " You're just going to have to deal with the pain".
And walked out with an exasperated look on her face. I wanted to know why my joints were on fire all the time. Needless to say I never went back and have been back.

Absolute total disappointment. Not only is she condescending but her staff is horrible. I don't cry easy. After my appointment her staff and Dr. Gomez made me cry. My mother has dementia, newly diagnosed & gets lost easy. She's fine as long as I'm with her. (I'm disabled and unable to drive) We were late and apologized repeatedly to her & her staff. (Because they continued to bring it up & even called me @home to scold me more after my appt) Even after I explained her condition they said that I ruined their day because they are on time & I should be too, I messed up all of their patients experience because I was late & I was causing them to have to work too hard! I was late by 5 minutes! After seeing me once for 10 minutes, she determines that she has to take me off of meds she doesn't feel I need from a doctor that I've seen for 14 years!! Ridiculous!

She took time with me but did not take me seriously. Overall, I felt that she was dismissive.
