BEWARE! This Dr is very money hungry! She will diagnose you with cavities, needing a crown or a bridge, and not be honest with out of pocket costs, until AFTER she preps your teeth for it, and you are checking out from your appointment. If you even mention getting a second opinion, she freaks out, yelling and talking down to and about you. She gossips about her friends, family, employees and other patients, sharing sensitive, and deeply personal information, often violating HIPPA. I cannot believe she is still able to practice! I was told about her receptionist’s health issues because she was out sick! If she can talk about people like that, rest assured you are NOT safe! She asks all kinds of deeply personal and intrusive questions that DO NOT pertain to dental work! She is grossly over stepping boundaries on so many levels. She talks about people that have state Medical assistance is such a demeaning way. She even lets her dog lie on patients while they are having work done. So gross and unsanitary!!!!

I pray that she is no longer in business. She is the worst. She was supposed to fill a single cavity but numbed up my front teeth and did work on 4 teeth that I never authorized. She also filed down my eye teeth and left them sensitive. But what she did to me was nothing to the horrors she did to my kids.

7 years ago she did horrible work on my 12 year old daughter and now she’s getting root canals on every tooth she touched. She would claim there were cavities that weren’t there, drill deep and fill with amalgam leaving everything sensitive and needing crowns/root canals. She is a horrible dentist. Don’t go here. Don’t take your kids here.

I feel horrible ever having taken my kids here.

STAY AWAY! Worst dentist ever. I’m not sure how she has managed to stay in business much less keep her license to practice. Do not take children to her under any circumstances. She filled 21 surfaces of my son’s teeth 19 years ago. He hadn’t had a cavity before and hasn’t had any since. I’m still angry!

I don’t trust this dentist. Every visit I was told I needed expensive procedures. Got a second opinion and my mouth is fine. Stay away!

My previous dentist retired and found Dr. Amundson. I didn't do my research on her background before my initial visit. BIG MISTAKE!!!! When I was at the previous dentist he would say how nice my teeth were and I took very good care of them. Fast forward 5 months got a appointment for cleaning with Amundson she informed me that I needed 2 crowns, a cavity filled, and had periodontal disease. I thought how could my teeth get so bad in just 5 months??????? There were a lot of red flags which lead me to get a second opinion . All the 5's she indicated I had in my mouth were non-existent. In addition I needed no crowns nor did I have a cavity. I work very hard for my money she would have me spending thousands of dollars on non-necessary dental procedures for her personal gain. She's a crock and has trained her staff to do her bidding. I'm so happy I got a second opinion and now have a honest and professional dentist. Who's mouth feel to the floor after my check-up and I told him what she said.

DO. NOT. GO. HERE.
Do your research, search her name in google and you will see much worse reviews that these.

I went to Dr Amundson for a simple cavity to be filled back when I was about 16-17 years old. I’m now 28, that tells you how bad she was that I’m willing to come back a decade later and review her.

I remembered my incident with her because I recently spoke with a friend who shared a horrific dental story. He went in for a simple cavity to be fixed and ended up in serious pain and suddenly needed a root canal. I shared my story and we shockingly realized we had the same dentist, and it was Dr. Amundson!

What happened to me was that she numbed my mouth but the front of it only, and not the side (where the tooth was) It of course was hard for me to tell at the time until she started drilling it out. I felt the worst pain of my life, shooting through my head. She had not numbed the nerve of the tooth she was fixing and I could feel it all. Straight air on my nerve, I’m not sure I’ve cried harder in my life due to pain (and I’ve broken 6 bones in my life.) She treated me like I was an idiot for the pain I was in. I was there alone (and just a kid!) and have never been so uncomfortable. I had to plead with her for more novacane. Additionally she also decided to file down my front teeth giving them a new (worse!) shape for no reason!!

I left and called my mom, who obviously in turn called her to see what the hell she had just done to me. Dr. Amundson told my mom that it was my fault and that I was just “wheepy”.

A quick google search shows many people have the exact same stories as me and my friend. Simple cavities turn in to extreme pain and then a referral to get a root canal (I’m guessing she gets $ for each referral she sends over.) Other reviewers also say she filed their teeth down for no reason other than that she thought they would “look better.” Who in the world does that! Another common theme is that she tells people to expect pain for about 6 months on routine cavity fills. This is NOT normal! I have had several done with NO PAIN afterwards. It’s her way of covering up her bad work. Several people also reported her saying they had multiple cavities, after getting their first one fixed with her (they left in pain) they then would go a 2nd opinion from other dentists who said they did NOT have more cavities. She’s willing to drill into peoples perfectly good teeth for $!

Not to mention she has dogs loose in the dentist office and exam rooms. I’m not sure that’s even legal around sterile equipment, not to mention how unprofessional it is.

I should have turned around and left when I saw the office is attached to her house, her bright red smeared lipstick and her dogs loose.

The dentist never bothered me before going here. The next couple times I got work done (and to fix her job) I had to be slightly sedated because I was so anxious. Crazy she’s still allowed to practice her clearly sketchy skills.

DO NOT GO HERE.

After being a patient for many years I will no longer be seeing the butcher of New Hope! Debbie will definitely sell you services like crowns you probably don't need! It's all about that money here! Do yourself a favor and go else were, still picking dog hair out of my mouth from her little rat dogs that roam around freely pretty unsanitary if you ask me. Now you know the truth!

I went to this dentist for a while and always had an awful experience. They made me dread going to the dentist because of how mean and painful the experience was.
