He admitted my bunion surgery was a failure. Wanted me to wait 1year. Be fore surgery again. I got a second opinion and was finished with it in 4 weeks.

Dr. Tollison is worse than a used car salesman wanting to rush you to surgery. He is arrogant and rushes you through if he sees you at all. My foot is ruined. It is deformed from the surgery he did. It has been several years and I can barely walk. The pain is non-stop. I went to one of his associates for an opinion if something could be done; he said no and he was sure that Dr. Tollison must feel really bad about the mess he made.

I loved Dr Tollison! I went in with a very badly banged up ankle and foot. After X-rays (the X-ray staff at POA is also excellent!) we were relieved to see no acute fractures. He set me up with a referral for physical therapy and gave me instructions on how to manage the pain and swelling at home. He is very friendly and has great bedside manner. What I liked most about him was that he didn't give me a prescription for a strong narcotic, even though my foot looked and felt really bad. He gave me an Rx for Tramadol along with the PT referral. He is the kind of doctor who aims to HEAL the injury instead of treating it with pain medication. Another thing I liked about him was that he didn't sugarcoat anything, he was straight to the point, which is something I appreciate in a doctor.
Only negative thing about my visits with Dr Tollison was the attitude of one of his nurses/assistants. One of them was extremely friendly and almost motherly, which is something that can be appreciated when you're injured. She knew exactly what was going on and helped a ton. The other lady in his staff was very unfriendly and rude. When she came in to fit me for my cast, she pulled the undersock over my foot and up my leg so hard and fast that it almost made me wonder if she liked to see people hurt. She slammed the splints on my ankles and shoved my foot into the air cast so hard that it made me cry out.
Stay away from that girl, but otherwise, I highly recommend Dr Tollison.

Dr Tollison performed mid-foot bone fusion for arthritis and bunionectomy. My first doctor had told me I would probably be in a wheelchair due to the arthritis and when I saw Dr. Tollison, he took the time to explain what he was seeing in my xrays / MRI and to explain what he thought he could do surgically to fix my feet. He only did one at a time and had me wait on the 2nd foot until the arthritis progressed where the pain was unbearable. The surgery is a big deal and basically you are off your feet for several weeks, non-weight bearing and then in a boot for several weeks. I followed post op instructions as they were provided and did not have significant pain and the results 2 years later are FABULOUS and pain free!! From barely being able to walk due to pain to pain free is better than an EXCELLENT result. I had an issue post op due to swelling in my legs that compressed with the splint and he met me at his office on a Saturday to make adjustments to the splint and then the 2nd surgery he met me on a Sunday to fix the splint. The most pleasant concerned surgeon I have ever dealt with. He strives for perfection. This past week, I broke a toe and he got me in the next day, set my toe and hopefully it won't need a pin via surgery. His first approach is to fix the problem and does not do surgical intervention unless absolutely required. I have observed this multiple times that he weighs surgery very carefully and does not rush into a surgical decision. I would trust his recommendation on my feet anytime as I am living with the improvements he made to mine and am extremely pleased. Each time I have seen him, he will take the time to answer them. Sometimes I have had to wait a little while for him, but I recognize that today was my day that he was fitting me in because my injury needed his time and other days, it is probably someone else that had an urgent issue that had to be worked in. I would highly recommend this extremely well qualified, excellent experienced, diligent orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Tollison did a triple level bunionectomy on me 6 weeks ago. I was scared to have it done because of all the horror stories people tell you. I am so pleased with the surgery and recovery. I wish I had done it sooner. He explained everything he was going to do. I followed his pain management plan word for word and it works! I was putting walking in 2 weeks with the "shoe". I would go back to him.

Great doctor. He listened to my concerns. When I went in for a follow up I was still having some pain, he was sympathetic and he managed my pain, which resolved a week later. No problems since surgery. Had such a great recovery, I scheduled a follow up for him to perform surgery on my right foot. He was even able to work me in prior to end of the year since I had already met my deductible. Again a great doctor.

Arrogant, self-centered. Total lack of empathy. Would not listen, over talked me while I was trying to explain situation. Probably will cost me my job. Doesn't understand that you can't work 70+ hours per week on planar Fasclitis. Seemed to be a contracted workers comp doctor which wasn't my case. Turned in my STD paperwork and recommended back to regular work and charged for it.

Dr. Tollison knew what was wrong immediately. I wish I had visited his office first instead of wasting 4 months with a different office! I trust his knowledge and experience and have recommended many others who have had the same great outcome!

DR. TOLLINSON, I RATE HIM 5 PLUS. HE IS THE VERY BEST FOOT AND ANKLE SPECIALIST IN THE UPSTATE. I HAVE BEEN SEEING DR. TOLLISON SINCE 2008, DUE TO A SEVERE FOOT INJURY SUBSTINED IN AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT. HE HAS BEEN VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL DURING MY ILLNESS OF OVER FOUR YEARS. I LIKE DR. TOLLINSON AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE. I FEEL AS THOUGH HE WAS SENT TO ME, BY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. J. GREENE
