Dr. Davenport can be helpful. She can also be stand-offish and can cut your time short. From reading the reviews, it almost seems like she chooses which patients she "wants" to see and which she doesn't, by being cold and distant. She is booked solid, so maybe that is what she is doing. Overall, I have had much better therapists.

She must be a good child Psychologist, but my 25 year old suffers from depression and needs to see her at least once a week. He is only seen once per month and a few times just cancels on him.

Dr. Davenport has been incredibly helpful to me and my family. She is very helpful in working around school schedules in an effort to miss the least school possible. She is insightful and has a true understanding of children and family dynamics. She understands challenges associated with special needs kids. She understands the inner workings of the school system. That insight has been very helpful to my child's success. I don't know where we'd be without the kindness and compassion Dr. Davenport shows to our family. I would highly recommend Dr. Davenport to any parent who wants to see their child thrive.

Dr Davenport has been extremely helpful to me and my family. I have a special needs daughter who was diagnosed with ADHD and autism by dr. Davenport. She was so helpful to me and my family as well as my daughter and understanding the diagnosis accepting the diagnosis and living with the diagnosis especially the autism. She has helped my daughter feel confident herself, be able to express yourself better and just generally be more open. She's also help me and my family be able to deal better with my daughter and also work on some issues that we had as a family separate from the autism. I would highly recommend dr. Davenport to anyone who's having issues with anxiety depression family issues but especially if you have a child or a teenager that's having any problems or issues dr. Davenport is very good with that age group. As somebody else said and one of these ratings, if dr. Davenport wasn't my counselor I could totally see her being somebody that I would be friends with and chat with her she's very personable and open and approachable and I look forward to our visits with her.

Dr davenport has beyond helpful to both me and my family. I see her for myself and my autistic daughter sees her also. Dr davenport was soo helpful in our family working through..accepting and learning to live w my daughters special needs. She is always upfront..honest..and helps us find strategies to work with my daughters autism along issues I have. She is always respectful and non judgemental! Which has been so helpful to me as a mom..wife. and woman. I recommend her to anyone for themselves and esp kids/teens. She relates very well to my daughter. I agree w other rating that says if she wasn't my counselor. .I could easily enjoy chatting w her etc as a friend. Dr davenport has helped me and my family more than I can say..if you need help w depression. .anxanxiety or family issues etc..I totally recommend Dr davenport!

I find Dr. Davenport both deeply caring and very understanding. She has helped me face issues that I have a tendency to brush aside. I cannot express how sincerely grateful I am for the impressive work on problems that she has helped me through. I highly recommend her to anyone that wants to work on whatever they need help with.

If I had met Dr. Davenport other than becoming her patient, I believe we could have been great friends. She is a warm and understanding doctor but also as a human being. I started seeing her to help me deal with several extremely difficult life problems, including having ha open heart surgery and the loss of a child. She has helped me to understand the first and to accept the second. She helped me get over my anger at God. I came to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior and she even attended my baptism. That is above and beyond her responsibility as a doctor, but totally in line with her being a caring person.
I would totally recommend her to anyone in need of her professional service.

I am totally shocked at the previous review. We have been going to Dr. Davenport for 4 years. I do not like living in Warner Robins but she is the reason we still live here. We always say that if we did move back to Atlanta we would drive back here just to continue my son’s therapy. When we started going to her we were lost and confused about where to even start with our son who has Aspergers and ADHD. We have been with her since his initial diagnosis. I was at the school at least every other day dealing with him or the teachers that had no idea how to work with him. Dr. Davenport teaches you strategies that actually work based on your child, not just something she read in a book or learned in school. She has worked with the school system so she knows how to help you get what you need to help your child excel. We went from several people telling us “something is wrong with your kid” to “I would never have guessed your child has Aspergers.” Dr. Davenport is not there to do your job as a parent. She is honest and straightforward. She holds you accountable. Most people I have talked to that didn’t like therapy or their doctor have later admitted it was because they were forced to recognize their own issues. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a psychologist who will change their life to try Dr. Davenport.

We have only been to see her once and and Dr. Davenport has to be the rudest lady I have ever met.She talks down to you like your stupid and makes completely inappropriate facial expressions the whole time.I was in a completely horrible mood when I left her office she completely ruined my day.I would not recommend her to a person with no insurance if she worked and a free clinic!I will be sure to pass on the horrible experience I had at her office to everyone I know!
