She is extremely difficult to get a hold of and refuses to take calls.

I took my son to see Dr. Kendall a month or 2 ago. He has severe autism and severe self-injurious behaviors; we are not sure what else is going on but we are confident it is something. Dr. Kendall listened to all of our concerns and actually took us seriously rather than just blowing off his behaviors as autism. Even if it is not mito and we cannot figure out what is going on, I will stick by my feelings and rating that she did everything possible to help us.

She was very knowledgeable and her office was very well decorated and homey. Dr. Kendall and her husband were very friendly and she went into much detail about the steps we needed to take moving forward. I would strongly recommend Dr. Kendall to anyone with genetic or rare diseases!

Excellent Dr. Please do not let the few negative comments dissuade you from seeing her. Mito and related genetic diseases are complex. There may not be a definitive answer, definitive diagnosis, or definitive treatment path. However, she will give you your best chance to find a specific full or partial diagnosis if available, and an expert basis to estimate future developments in testing, management, and possible disease progression. I can only assume the few negative comments arise from that situation where an exact diagnosis and cure were not found with currently available medical knowledge. Dr. Kendall is among a handful of experts nationwide that will give you the best chance of a diagnosis and state-of-the-art treatment protocol. Her practice is more akin to an expert consultancy, it is not necessarily designed for constant, continuous care, although she provides insights and detailed analysis for your day- to- day treatment and management plan by your local dr. The practice uses a unique, no insurance model and is highly organized and well run. You have to be patient in that the testing can take a long time to get results and feedback on, several months or more with large complex genetic test panels. That is the nature of state-of-the art genetic testing today, which requires a great deal of expert analysis in addition to the sequencing, not a reflection on Dr. Kendall’s practice. They do not report results piecemeal as they come in, this is for good reason. Multiple tests are frequently needed to get a clear picture for diagnosis, also passing on results as they come would be highly inefficient in the practice, akin to trying to solve a puzzle without all the pieces present. I have no doubt if a definitive answer comes in partial test results they would pass it on immediately. However, if you are seeing Dr. Kendal you likely have a complex case and that unfortunately takes time to sort through. I n my case, she spent 1.5 h with me for the 1`st appointment and conducted the most thorough physical exam I have ever had, which revealed some weakness patterns I wasn’t aware of at the time. Testing gave me a partial answer for my situation, and the analysis by Dr. Kendall has provided a framework for what I need to watch for, and where future medical may prove helpful to fully sorting things out.

After 8 years of searching I am so happy to have found Dr Kendall who understands my complex medical issues and knows ways to help me. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the office and I found Dr Kendall very easy to talk to. I also appreciated how she had reviewed and understood my case before I saw her so that I did not have to repeat my extensive medical history again. I was very impressed how prepared she was. My visit with Dr Kendall was well worth my trip to Atlanta; I am doing better now with treatments she prescribed for me and my doctors back home have a much better understanding of how to take care of me. I am truly grateful to Dr Kendall!

Adult patient with suspected mito I've seen a lot of doctors over the years. And although they did the best they could, the current standard medical practice just let's folks with complex medical issues fall through the cracks. I had given up on finding treatment to make my quality of life better when I came across mitoaction. It was there that I came across Dr Kendall. I read the great patient reviews . I went into this with no expectations. From the first contact I was treated with respect and dignity. This is not any type of medical practice that you have been to before. Dr Kendall and her husband are a great team and took care of everything. They are amazing at responding to my questions and concerns. My records were actually read and used to look at the long history of issues. I did not scare her off with all my medical issues so I could finally tell the whole story and not hold back for fear of overwhelming the Dr. Her treatment plan is a common sense approach that has improved my quality of life. As a former nurse practitioner I feel I've finally found a provider that can work with me on this difficult journey. Her values on how medicine and patients should be treated are wonderful and I could never thank them enough for their contribution to my health and well being.

One of the most compassionate & knowledgeable doc's I have ever seen. The testimonials on her website were all true. Over the years under her wing I think my child would not be here if it were not for her. Truly world class and no wonder patients see her from around the world. What a great experience I can only guess that the negative comments below are from people doctor shopping. She will tell you the truth and it seems some people do not like hearing it.

Dr. Kendall's ego, arrogance and overall inability to be a human with a heart is appalling and frankly disgusting. I would rather my child be flown out of state than have to deal with this woman ever again.

Dont be fooled. We had a terrible situation with her. We were questioned and not believed. We don't understand the positive comments while ours is so highly negative.

Dr. Kendall has been very helpful to both me an my son. We travel several states to go see her and would not trade her knowledge, expertise, and kindness for anything in the world. She not only has helped me at in office appointments but also with virtual appointments and with talking with my other doctors. For my family it was the best decision we could have made.
