Dr. Zak was the first gyno I had ever seen I was 18 when I was pregnant and I had no idea what to expect. Dr. Zak was an absolute nightmare. I had no idea what to expect being I had never seen a gyno before. She was extremely rough during all of my exams. She made me feel very insecure about my weight during pregnancy. She never answered your questions without making you feel like a complete idiot. She has absolutely no bedside manners whatsoever. Now 5 years later I work in the healthcare field and I work very closely with doctors for a living I see how I regret not ever sticking up for myself or standing up to her. She made me feel terrible about myself and would treat me badly for being young and pregnant. She asked at my first visit "so was this an accident ? Are you going to keep it " ... sure maybe you have to ask or offer options but not in that manner. After a few check ups she never discussed what the ultrasound looked like and she stopped me once as I was going to walk out the exam room and told me " you need to lay off the chips and corn dogs". I was so vulnerable then. And I was not eating chips and corn dogs throughout my pregnancy I had only gained 15 pounds through my whole pregnancy . She knew I was weak and young and took advantage of me to make herself feel better about herself and few she had total control of someone. I was 42 weeks at my delivery which should have been a c-section but she never did. The nurses were going to send me in for an emergent one when she finally walked in after pushing for a good hour and a half & said " you need to push harder" my contractions were off the charts. I pushed her out and had a terrible terrible case of diastasis recti to top it off. The nurses put baby on me and baby was crying I spoke and said awh my baby it's okay. She laughs and shakes her head at me saying" let her cry it's good for her" as if I was stupid her tone was rude even my mother looked at her with disbelief. All in all I was extremely traumatized I never even went back for me post partum check up and have never seen a gynocologist since which I know is on me but I am so scared and traumatized by her treatment. Certain staff was either very kind or extremely rude.

I went to Dr Zak with extremely bad periods. In preparing the speculum for my exam, the lube fell off completely. She did not tell me and used dry metal on me.
I left that office not only feeling physically bad, but beyond unheard. I walked out with an asthma diagnosis. I have allergies that make me wheeze. Terrible experience.

I went to Dr Zak for my first pregnancy over 9 years ago and am still horrified at the way she managed by pregnancy that I am stopping to write this 9 years later. I had protein in my urine for weeks and weeks and weeks leading up to my delivery and all the Dr could tell me was to "drink more water". I tried to explain I drink way more than enough but she decided I was wrong. My blood pressure also began to spike. Again, no worries for the Dr. Not until I was rushed to the ER by my husband 3 weeks before I was due to deliver while I was having seizures did she realize that I had the warning signs of preeclampsia all along and had IGNORED them. I then had no choice to be induced. She was uncaring and unapologetic for her miscalculations with my care. Not to mention, she is degrading and devalues anyone's opinion who is not an MD; especially pharmacists. Excuse me, but my grandfather was a pharmacist and could have took better care of my pregnancy than this monster; she needs to watch her comments but that would require her to have professionalism. For my second pregnancy I chose ANYONE but her.

Dr Zak is a absolute nightmare! Dr Zak cut my iliac artery during my c section,, note she had her phone off and could not be reached, she showed up when I was dilated to a 10. I was in the hospital from August till December, Yes, I almost died had to have hysterectomy, she said I didn't need anymore kids. That didn't solve the bleeding issue, exploratory they couldn't find the bleeding. Then a amazing doctor Dr Turner saved me with a arterial embolization and found it but by that time I had lost so much blood and my organs were shutting down. I had 82 bags of blood put in me. in ICU for a month with pneumonia. I had to learn how to walk again. Now 10 yrs later I have been in the hospital 3 times because I have irritable bowel syndrome. My daughter has a learning problem, crossed eye, has to wear glasses for rest of her life, wets the bed. Shame on the State of NV Medical board you allow this monster to deliver babies you all are incompetent..

Dr. Zak is an absolute nightmare. Unattractively sarcastic. Tried harder to be a comedian than a doctor. Everything I complained about she laughed at. I said I felt like I was carrying way too low and she laughed saying I wouldn't know the difference because it was my first pregnancy. I said I felt like something was constantly and randomly 'twisting' my left ovary, she laughed and said I sound a bit exaggerated and that it's probably just the 'first time' jitters when feeling ligament pain. Every time I had an U/S I was never given ANY information about the baby. Dr. Zak was always 'on vacation' during times I was the most scared and concerned. I would always get transferred to a voicemail and never was called back. I ended up breaking water at 26 weeks and gave birth at 28 weeks. My daughter passed away 20 days later, the doctors said she didn't stand a chance because there were things that could have been done to prevent the situation that were not done by Dr. Zak.

Dr. Zak was over an hour late for appointment time. She apologized but it was very insincere saying that her computer had crashed three times that day so she was running way behind. I asked why the office staff couldn't have called to let me know they were running behind and she said they are too busy to do that. While I waited I listened to them chat with each other about their day. There were not too busy to have called and no one cared that people had to wait over an hour for a scheduled appointment to see the doctor. She made it sound like her staff and her own time are more important than my time.
