I am please with the surgery Dr. Vance performed. My rating is based on the lengthy wait times I have experienced many times. One time, the doctor even left the office in the middle of my appointment. I learned this after complaining that my appointment was taking to long. I was there almost 4 hours. No apology, nothing, I finally just left. I found this very inconsiderate of my time and just rude. Dr. Vance's assistant is annoying and combative I just dread having to even see her. She likes to act as if she is the doctor. The office staff are nothing special. I have seen them be extremely rude to patients having difficulty moving with crutches or a wheelchair and they let the patient struggle. I, four days out of surgery barely walking and struggling myself assisted one man getting through the doors with a nurse just standing there watching. DR. Vance excellent but, it is all the other stuff that starts to add up and make you go elsewhere. I finally did.

Doctor excellent. Back office medical staff is OK but a couple of them a bit rude. Front office staff - discourteous. Office administrator/billing person double charged me for a prosthetic device and agreed to take back the only one I was issued since it did not work for my left hand thumb. Then, she assured me that I accepted a second one from them which I never had as I was talking to her with a custom made****left hand cast from my PT. She said that she could take the one I returned off my bill but will charge me for the second one because "I have to go by what the doctor said." Total rip off and very disrespectful and rude person.

Dr.Vance is an excellent surgeon. He is very helpful and caring.He was very pleasant in the hospital, and in his office. We found him very knowledgeable about his subject , as well as for the rehabilitating period .He takes great pains to help you understand what he did when he operated , as well as after , and during your rehab. He's a great doctor. !
