Originally, I went into 7408 COASTAL Highway, to get a treatment, a bi-monthly injection. Upon initial review and discussion with the Dr. available, I was told I had to get an additional note faxed from my Endocrinologist in addition to my prescription with my name and dosage information that I had handy. While a unique request since I have been getting this treatment for over two years and many times received the treatment when I have been away from home, I complied by reaching out to my DR and as a result had to wait an extra day.

The next day, Aug 14, 2014 I went in after confirming with the staff the required paper work had arrived. As I was sitting in the waiting area with three other patients, we all heard him, Dr. Penroach, get upset with the staff and even gave me a look as he furiously and angrily told them he was not going to treat me (per the staff since he did not know my medical history - this I was told by two different people). He was openly discussing my case in a loud voice and others could hear, whether they paid attention is another thing and in my opinion he was guilty of the following:
- Lack of compassion.
- Lack of pro activeness
- Biased
- And worse, possible violation of my HIPPA rights.

He was irritated at best and angry at worse as he looked directly at me several times while talking to the front desk.

As a two time cancer survivor and a regular in the health care system due to post radio/chemotherapy treatment, I have never been as humiliated and felt angry.

There was lack of compassion and understanding and out right unprofessionalism. The staff agreed that his behavior was not correct and took care of me, including giving me the required treatment regardless, which he had angrily denied providing and, that too, in front of staff and patients waiting in the lobby.

The staff, including the PA and others were quite the opposite. They were understanding and caring. They took care of me and made me felt much better. I intend to escalate this experience at Dr. Penroach's hand to the board or higher overseeing authorities.

Definitely recommend the facility and the front staff as well as supporting nurses, PAs, etc - just not Dr. Penroach.
