Dr Atkinson has been my Orthopedic for 10 years. He is always very kind, compassionate, and a fantastic surgeon, who looks out for your best interests. He and his staff make you feel at ease, and comfortable. Dr Atkinson explains everything so you can understand what has happened, what needs to be done. He did my knee replacement surgery, and has had to operate on my right shoulder twice due to falls. The outcome is outstanding. He has good Christian values, and will pray with you before surgery. I highly recommend Dr Atkinson at Advanced Orthopedic and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Atkinson performed rotator cuff surgery on me in 2020. After surgery, extended physical therapy and three years, my shoulder is worse in every way than prior. I only saw the doctor at my initial visit. After that, all post-op contact was with staff. I am disappointed with the entire process and would not recommend.

I had a shoulder replacement in March. Currently doing physical therapy. Shoulder is slowly improving. Dr. Atkinson is knowledgeable, shows much empathy and communicates well. His physical therapy staff is excellent.
