Doctor Susarla was polite, clear in his explanations, and never made me feel rushed or forced into just one way of doing things. I like the fact that he didn't recommend unnecessary tests, but at the same time allowed me the option to pursue reasonable testing that I was interested in. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that he was well regarded by the staff of the local hospital ER I had to visit, and also that he attends his own hospital patients when they are sick. If you are looking for a primary care doctor who will be there for you, you can't go wrong with this one. Highly recommended.

I've taken all four of my children to Dr. Susarla since 2008. I've never had any problems. Waiting time is short, usually less than 10 minutes, and same-day/next-day appointments were always available. Doctor is friendly and explains things clearly, and seems to enjoy seeing kids (he sees both adults and kids and my husband has also seen him). I would highly recommend him.

My husband saw Dr. Susarla when we relocated to the Houston area from another city as he wanted to establish a new doctor and continue his meds. Anyway, he WALKED into his office and was in a wheelchair on our last visit to him. He put him on Indocin, which caused some renal insufficiency and didn't even address the fact that he had an infection somewhere, as his white blood count was up.I took him home in a wheelchair and eventually had to call 911 to take him to the hospital because he was in pain, couldn't bear weight and couldn't get into the truck. Needless to say, we changed doctors in the hospital.

There is only one word to discribe him.....arrogant. My first visit with him I scheduled an appointment for all 3 of my kids together. He flat out told me that he was overwhelmed by all the kids and that I'm not allowed to bring them all again. He left the room but did not close the door. I heard him tell a nurse that some people should just not have kids. He said there should be a limit of one child per woman. Who is he to say that? Why would you go into a profession with children if you are easily overwhelmed by them? I am never going their again.

I am the mother of a former patient of Dr Susarla's. He was my child's pediatrician since birth. When he closed his practice in Missouri City and moved to his new practice I attempted to get my child's records transferred. As it turns out his new office was not able to produce my 2 year old child's shot records! There is no record of dates/signatures/etc... for shot records. The only one listed was his first two at birth and 6 weeks. Needless to say this has caused me great concern for my child's health (as I do not know what he has already been vacinated for) as well as a great deal of issues with his daycare and new pediatrician. Very upsetting!!! I made at least 6 attempts to get his records straightened away with Dr Susarla's new nurses and they printed some typically shot schedule off the internet and crossed out the vaccines they think he's gotten. No signatures/dates/etc.

Seemed arrogant. Not someone whom I could confide in. Did not even bother to take a throat culture for ear/nose/throat complaint.
