He totally missed Hashimotos and pituitary tumor. He told me I was experiencing symptoms of menopause and should take selenium supplements from Wal-Mart. All he had to do was run a few more labs and order a pituitary MRI. While a pituitary MRI may not be a common next step for most it was for me since I had hyperprolactinemia in my 20s. Going to Jackson to have tumor removed with an amazing team of doctors.

Dr Dey was uncompassionate and very dismissive of my symptoms. He told me that some people just need a dr to tell them that they are okay and that is what he was doing for me. He said I needed to move on with my life because I was not sick. After seeing dr dey, another three drs have tested and treated me for thyroid dysfunction. I almost lost my job as a nurse due to overwhelming thyroid symptoms such as fatigue. Dr dey was very dismissive and uncaring. He also showed that he could not think outside the box. If lab tests are not skewed, he does not treat based on patient symptoms. Drs in Tupelo need to realize that medicine is advancing elsewhere in the world. If they do not advance with it, they will be left behind. . . along with their patients. Sad.

I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Dey! I have had a major issue with trusting doctors, strictly because of past experiences. BUT - Dr. Dey was very thorough, knowledgeable, and straightforward. I need a doctor who will take the time and initiative to be honest and take interest in my health needs. He took the time to actually get to know me and my needs.

I totally disagree with the other rating. I searched for several spec. regarding diabetic care before settling on Dr. Dey. He is knowledgeable and kind to his patients. He helped me when others were lacking knowledge and skill. It seems the other rater was more disgruntled about her bill than anything and I understand but in terms of knowledge, you will not find superior care to Dr. Dey----he is fabulous and his staff is as well. cs

After having my Thyroid removed,Dey ran blood work and my calcium was at 8 and should have been 10. He told me everything looked good. One week later my hands and fingers started going into spasms. I went to my local Dr. He ran blood work (extra money) and told me my calcium was seriously too low.He sent me back to Dr. Dey where he ajusted my medicine. Cost me extra money and then his office writes me and tells me I can't see him again until my $299.00 bill is paid in full. It's not like I didn't pay everytime I walked in the office on top of the insurance money they continually collect for the rest of my life! And I would not have had that outstanding balance had he watched my calcium level to begin with. I will find another Dr.
