Intention: long-term care. Be discerning eg hearing vs listening. My one visit did not work for me.

This doctor was falling asleep while I was talking! Literally, nodding off. And I agree with the other reviewers about his charging for every little thing. $30 just to pick up a prescription. He never remembers who you are and spends a good part of the session leafing through your chart to reacquaint himself with you. Oh, and the ego. He refused to believe something I told him because it was not his experience. I can understand being skeptical but to basically call someone a liar for having a different experience than you? Come on. I'd be more specific but I may have to go back to him one more time. What an ass.

Anything he does he charges, including being called by the pharmacy to verify a prescription. He spends lots of time talking about restaurants or directions or something that does not matter to me. He does forget what I am taking and he is solo so it is impossible to reach the office to say you are running late, or change an appointment or anything.

On my first visit, I explained to Dr. Schwartz that I saw a neurologist and a pain managment specialist and was not there for medicine, he said I was rigid.Later he prescribed a medicine that I should have never taken with my condition, it is on the DO NOT GIVE MEDICATION for disorder. He knew nothing about my rare movement disorder, but would indicate he was familiar, etc. I wish I had read the reviews and done my research, but it is a little to late. When LTD wanted me to see him again, I went in and as he flipped through the pages in our 45 minute session, do not forget wasting another 15 or 20 minutes every time, he said well, this will take at least 2 more visits to complete this paperwork. I was flabber-gasted because it seemed all about the MONEY. As LTD sent the paperwork to him, during our the visit to discuss the completion, he said to me, I didn't realize your illness was that bad. Good Luck to anyone who sees him as I am warning, 20/20 is hindsight. I have moved on!!

Waste of time. He seemed to schedule appointments more to line his pocket than treat the patient. I've did a lot of talk therapy before him and his technique (if he had one) seemed pathetic. He seemed to ask questions just to satisfy his own curiosity and fill the time, instead of anything that would enlighten him (or me) toward finding a way, besides medication, to treat my depression. He really turned me off psychiatrists as talk therapists. Did I say he tried to schedule appointments to fit his budget, not my treatment?

Horrible doctor. He constantly forgets what medications you are on/not on and will ask about the medications for months after even if you did not fill that prescription. He constantly is running late so there is always a wait. There really isn't a positive about this doctor. Go see someone else.
