His office plays games with appointments. They give you an appointment and then change it without telling the person. They of course miss the appointment and the Dr Dan drops you as a patient. My lawyer is filling th paperwork for the licensing board.

The experience with this particular physician was not worth my time to schedule with him again. I understand most physicians have a heavy case load but it does not excuse his rudeness or belittling of a patient.

Dr. Daniel Thistlethwaite is the most knowledgable, compassionate, & experienced Dr. That I've ever had the privilege of having as my Psychiatrist. Extremely thorough, not afraid to change medicines that don't work for the patient. Excellent follow-up,and recommendations of advanced treatments. Excellent @ seeing your condition by paying attention & observing you, even when you may not know what's going on with you. I could not have gotten through some difficult times without his experience. I pray that he never burns out on compassionately treating troubled Humans! The Best!

Dr. Thistlethwaite is a wonderful doctor. He doesn't prescribe medications that aren't needed and he really listens. Some psychiatrists will look at you and nod. He engages in conversation. He is very knowledgeable and recommended the TMS treatments helping with my bipolar disorder. I have to say that I read the message below. It is obvious that the woman has been mislead. There is no test to determine whether you do or do not have bipolar. It is a chemical imbalance in the brain. What exactly is a typical anti-depressant? I can tell you that I have been sick since I was 16 years of age and I am currently 38 years old. I have seen many doctors, psychologists, and counselors as well as being hospitalized. I have been on nearly 40 different medications. One of which is "typical" anti-depressants. He knows what he is doing, cares about his patients, and is very professional. He may come across a little dry at first, but that is his way of getting to know you. If the medication doesn't work, you call the office. They get back to you ASAP! His staff is extremely courteous, professional, and caring. I would highly recommend him and his office.

Dr. Thistlewaite is a jerk that claims to be a professional. I took my 15 year old daughter there and she didn't like his demeanor from the start. He didn't do any testing on her to make a diagnosis. He didn't contact her psychologist who had already done testing. He just gave her an anti-depressant which made her go in to a morbid depression because you don't treat a bi-polar patient with typical anti-depressants. Then I booked an appointment to talk about these things and he treated me worse than I have ever been treated as a parent who was just desperately trying to help their child. I had to get up and walk out of his office. I wouldn't recommend anyone going to him for anything.

I was referred to Dr.Dan by my therapist after years of just not 'connecting' with my previous psychiatrist. I wouldn't trade Dr. Dan for any other psychiatrist in the area. Even though my commute to see him is well over 100 miles, and there are plenty of other doctors available, he is my pick! He LISTENS - words, body language, every way. Today he noticed my face was very flushed and immediately checked my blood pressure. He didn't have a nurse come do it, he took the time and did it himself. I have never been as comfortable with ANY doctor than I am with Dr. Dan. Thank God I was referred to this doctor. :)

Dr. Thistlewaite has seen my granddaughter for over a year and she has made tremendous progress. He is very thorough and caring. He is the first psyhiatrist who has actually entered into conversations with my granddaughter. He sees her for ADHD ODD. I thik he really cares about his patients' welfare. I would highly recommend him to anyone for psychiatric treatment.
