Had a 9:30 AM appointment on Monday, May 1, 2023. Took vital signs and weight. Told them we were there for GI consult. Went to exam room and waited until 11:15AM. Nobody came to the exam room to inform us on why we were waiting so long. I went to the front desk and ask where Dr Barot was and none of them knew. Left and will never make another appointment with this office as my time is something I do not not appreciate being wasted.

I’m so afraid that this guy will be giving medical advise to someone. My husband having serious problems with his bile duct from cancer and he tells him in a 2 minute visit to go to New Orleans, which he did have an upcoming appointment for chemo but it didn’t have nothing to do with why he needed his help as a GI dr after being admitted to hospital. People stay away. No kind of bedside manners or thinking about helping you.

I'm wondering if this Dr is still practicing in Gulfport. I was recommended to him by hospital staff..i had a cat scan done to determine I had diverticulitis. First visit lasted about 30 seconds, it seemed. Felt like he could really care less about me. Prescribed meds, which I had severe reaction to. Got a little pissy when I went back in for reassessment of problem. Like the allergic reaction to meds was something I made up. Was told to make new appointment..this visit was crazy. First, nurse who saw me at first visit proceeded to ask me exact same questions she asked at first office appt. When I told her I already answered these same questions, she looked in my file and replied, "oh yeah, here they are." She left and another nurse came in, asking same type of questions. I told her I already answered them with nurse who just left exam room. Then Dr. Barot finally came in. Spent a whole 3 to 5 minutes and just showed me pictures on his phone of what I had. Told me he would give me new meds and told me to come back in a month. I made new appt upon leaving. About 3 days later I got a call telling me he couldn't see me in the Diamondhead office so I said no problem, I'll go to the Gulfport office. I was told he was no longer practicing in Gulfport either and I had to find another doctor. I mentioned all this to my daughter in law, as this Dr is also her mother's Dr. She said no one told her he was leaving. Which tells me he just didn't want me as a patient. Which is really fine by me because I didn't like him at all. I've just never experienced anything like this. DO NOT go to this dr..hes horrible. So I'm wondering if he really left MS or did he just not want me as his patient. Who does this??? A Dr who isn't worth a dam, that's who.

I went in for a colonoscopy and ended up in intensive care on a ventilator. The whole experience with this doctor was terrible, I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. The worst of it all was that he never even came to talk to me about what happened during my 6 day stay in the hospital.

This has to be the most horrible medical experience I have ever witnessed. I accompanied a friend with a severe GI condition. This was to be a follow up appointment for a "treatment plan" he put her on that had not worked. He said he could not help her, and told her she made him "feel stupid" for coming to see him when he can't do anything. She shed a tear, and then he told her to stop she was making HIM feel bad. He went in circles on anything I asked him about, made no sense, was EXTREMELY condescending, said she needed a GI specialist in her area, became offended when we asked for referrals to such, said she needed pain management, asked for that referral then he went back to saying she needed a specialist. He lied about what he had done with her previously, how often she had seen him, and basically made her feel like trash. VERY RUDE (as was his nurse which treated us with NO compassion). An awful, AWFUL human being!

Very unhappy with the treatment of this "Doctor". He never even examined me. Just looked at my symptoms and immediately ordered tests, costing over $7000. Tried to ask questions, and he acted like I was stupid. Cancelled tests, made appt with a different doctor at a different practice. Don't waste your time!

One of the most sincere and personable physicians I have EVER met... And I am a retired nurse of 30 years. He listened and did series of test that he could of sent me to someone else to have done.

Treated me like a child. Didn't like it that I was involved with my therapy or did online research. Dominating and short tempered. Didn't let me finish my sentences. I will not go back for scheduled tests, I am canceling them. How can a doctor treat you if he won't listen to you?
