He maimed my spouse. He disappeared into the night in August 2010 when the feds investigated him for Medicare fraud-the overnight stay following GK was BS. Brains generally swell 2-3 months later. RI Hospital was fined 7m. He is the Devil. He overprescribed Decadron and wasn’t aware the steroid can cause psychosis. His direct words. May he rot in Dante’a Inferno. So glad that he no longer is there.

Dr. Noren treated my Acoustic Neuroma in 2007, after the tumor started growing again post open surgery in 2005. My AN was large and pushing against the brain stem with a real possibility of serious symptoms just from the size and location. The open surgery left me with several minor neural deficits on the left side of my face. The AN itself gave me complete deafness in the left ear and a significant balance problem all before discovering the tumor was there .
Dr. Noren spent a lot of time with me on the initial consultation explaining details of treatment and post care expectations. He was patient and eager to teach. Now more than ten years post GKR treatment my MRI's always come back "no change" - the best possible diagnosis.. I have never had any side effects from the GKR and I am thrilled to have learned about it from a former patient of Dr. Noren.. I am sorry to learn Dr. Noren is gone as he developed - along with the affected patient - a way to treat AN with GKR to spare the hearing over a 5 day treatment plan. I having already lost my hearing had the treatment all in one day.
I had very little contact with the office staff but found it frustrating when my phone calls were not answered within a reasonable period of time. During the 8 hour treatment the staff who attended me were excellent and used extreme caution to protect my head with the surgical halo on while going to the bathroom and getting back on the treatment bed.
RE punctuality - Dr. Noren gave each patient all the time they needed at an appointment thus sometimes his office would fill up with a few patients behind. It is reassuring to me to know that when my turn came I too would receive all the care that I needed.
I have recommended GKR to others with AN and they also had very positive experiences with Dr. Noren, Now at this time in my life I am dealing with a rare neurological problem due to nerve injury following a tooth extraction. I wish I could call Dr. Noren for a referral of who to see - As it is now I can find no one who specializes in this and there is almost no research online. Anne Wing

Dr. Noren treated my brain tumor with GK in 2010. After multiple "second opinions" I finally found a doctor whom I trusted and had complete confidence. He listened to me and treated me with the care and compassion the big Boston hospitals failed to do. I am symptom free 7 yrs later and grateful every day for his care.

noren is long gone since he was guilty of medicare fraud that cost ri hospital millions in fines. brains only swell months later from gk not the following day after procedure. friend had an extreme bad outcome to gk. deaf, vertigo, overprescribed decahedron, landed at mental hospital. noren himself away from the table when friend needed help. sneaky swede. his own medical secretary when her grandson came down with a brain tumor was not treated by him. speaks volumes. so glad that he is has disappeared. he is not god-he is the devil.

Dr. Noren and his staff at the New England Gamma Knife Centre provided my wife with professional, prompt and caring gamma knife radiosurgery treatment. Dr. Noren took the the time to explain the procedure, benefits and minimal side effects. This treatment was our choice as a means of dealing with a small residual meninginoma tumor left after brain surgery. Our Ontario neurosurgeon was unwilling to even discuss gamma knife radiosurgery as an alternative to the prescribed external whole beam radiation. My wife is in her 6th year post-gamma knife radiosurgery treatment with no complications / side effects and no growth of the meninginoma turmor. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Noren for his willingness to provide this treatment. I would recommend that other patience as a minimum, explore gamma knife radiosurgery as an alternative to external whole beam radiation. Our experience has been very positive.
