This dental office did not get a preauthorization from my insurance company and they neglected to tell me that I needed to "ask" for them to do this. In my whole life I have NEVER had a dentist NOT get a preauthorization. I would have definitely had them get a preauthorization otherwise I would not have had the procedure done had I known of this. I wasn't even in any pain and had only gone in for a cleaning.
When I called the dental office the billing lady, Chantel, argued with me, said that I didn't ask for a preauthorization (again, how was I supposed to even know this when they didn't inform me, a NEW patient, of this, which I told her but it didn't matter). She told me 3 times that I was responsible for this bill as they DO NOT get a preauthorization and said that it was my fault because I gave them only an estimate of how long ago I had a crown done. They did not tell me that I had to tell them EXACTLY how long ago I got a crown, who can remember; they should have checked with my insurance company and asked them how long it had been and while they had them on the phone they should have gotten a PREAUTHORIZATION.
I think this is very fraudulent business practice if they do not inform their patients of this and then have them get a procedure done not even knowing if the insurance company will cover it.
They have sent me a bill 7 months after I had the new crown put in and expect me to pay $1200.00 which I can't afford nor should I even be responsible!!
Chantel was continually speaking over me while I was trying to talk and she was not professional at all. She displayed horrible customer service. I asked to speak to the dentist and again Chantel was being very difficult and told me he had nothing to do with the billing and I couldn't speak to him. I told her that I had a right to speak to him and she said that she would just send the bill to a collection agency. I told her that I didn't want her to do that and didn't want to argue with her and that I would like for her to have the dentist call me & she then said she would but I had a feeling she would not relay my message.
So I went into the office two days later and personally handed a letter to Dr. Wallen where I explained the situation and asked for him to call me so that we could discuss this unfortunate situation and now over a week later I have not heard from him. Dr. Wallen should have at least contacted me rather than just ignore one of his customers

Dr. Wallen and his staff are an excellent dental team. Everyone is very caring and my dental care has always been top notch. His office is clean and modern. I fully recommend this office for your dental issues.

I couldn't be more happy with the outcome of my dental treatment. From the first phone call I was treated so well and all of my insurance questions were answered. You can tell Dr. Wallen cares about what he does and I appreciate that about him. I also really like the office. It is like a dental Spa and very clean/modern. They are also always "on-time" which is impressive.

Dr. Wallen is the best dentist I have ever been to and I am very glad to have found this dental office. Over the past couple of years I have been having dental work done due to my own neglect. I am very happy with my results and I love my new smile. All of his assistants are caring too and very nice. 5 stars!!

I really like the hygenists and front office. Dr. Wallen should reconsider his appearance-shave and use a different clean clinic jacket. He hardly touched my teeth. While I understand his gentle approach, I am uncertain about the hands off nature. I had to get some work done at a separate office, and Dr wallens response was odd and makes me believe the previous bad review. However, the office does run very well which is why the previous reviewer was unfair in giving this office low reviews.

This is a nice dental office. Dr. Wallen is gentle and thourogh. He explains everything to you. His office assistants are very caring and good. The office is modern and clean. I have had good dental experiences here!

I am very pleased with Dr. Wallen and his entire staff. He is a caring dentist that does excellent work. My treatment surpassed my expectaions and I highly recommend this office. The office is great too!
