I'm really surprised by the bad review on here. I had a great experience with this office. I was able to get in the same week. And Dr Tomes was able to go over some treatment options with me. He never pushed or treated me badly. I did decide to do the surgery and am so happy I did. The recovery time was short and was able to go back to work pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends!

Rude. Before meeting me he decided I was a surgery/drug seeker. I came to him on my Drs recommendation. I never said I wanted surgery or any type of medication. I thought he would figure out what the cause of my chronic pain and how to deal with it. I guess people write reviews for a reason. If I had read the reviews first I would have canceled my appointment, saved my $70 copay,my time and made a appointment with a Dr that actually cares about their patients. Do your research before seeing any Drs. There are Drs out there that actually want to help their patients and will treat you with the respect we all deserve.

I was very impressed with this office. The girl on the phone got me an appointment in three days. Then I saw Dr Tomes, who took the time to listen to me and came up with a surgical plan. Was able to get surgery a week later. Have never felt better! Would totally recommend him!

Dr. Tomes and his staff both at his practice and Southwest Lincoln Surgery center were wonderful to deal with. I was in so much pain for about two months and felt immediate relief after surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Tomes if anyone is experiencing lower back pain.

Dr Tomes and his staff really helped my mother. she was in a lot of back pain and didn't know what to do. He gave us a lot of options, finally deciding on surgery, and she felt great after. I loved the front office girls, they were always sweet whenever I came in or called. Would recommend to anyone.

Was on time and offered options so I could make an informed decision. If you want someone to hold your hand and cry with you about your pain, not the guy, no neurosurgeon is. If you want someone who knows what he is doing and trust that he will take care of you, then this is the guy.

All he wanted to do was boast about himself and recite rhetorical generalities instead of actually listening to my specific issues. It was so ironic because he mentioned "how important listening to the patient was" several times but then would barely let me talk! There is a disconnect between what Dr. Tomes talks about and what he actually does. I felt completely unheard and as if he wasn't interested in actually helping me. A rudely dismissive and narcissistic man. Avoid if you want help.

Extremely rude and condescending. Refused to answer questions. He did not seem concerned for the patient, but rather overly proud of his qualifications.
