Dr. Royal has been my eye doctor for many years. She is friendly, smart, answers most of my questions before I ask them, and makes sure I understand what she means and why she recommends what she does. The staff has changed alot over these years, and for the better. The girls at the desk now do their job, instead of gossiping and talking to each other instead of the people that are waiting. I've only been to this doctor in Arlington, but this listing states Fort Worth.

Dr. Royal is okay when she is conducting the exam, but don't dare make an appointment to check and make sure you have the right prescription for your glasses, then she talks down to you. I had to go back to her because the new glasses she prescribe were making my eyes ache really badly when I took them off, and after having them a month, this wasn't going away. When I went for a follow up, she acted as if she was irritated by me wanting to make sure my glasses were the right prescription. I only need reading glasses for astigmatism, but she told me in a sarcastic manner that they are "wear anytime glasses". Okay, what does that mean? Could she not have told me that in a more professional way? Then I asked he if that's the case, then why did she just tell me at the initial appointment that I needed reading glasses, then she corrected herself and said they were reading glasses. Makes no sense to me. I left her office highly upset and didn't appreciate her talking down to me.
