Dr. Lewis decided that when my wife went into the ER because she had 4 gallbladder attacks in 2 days, 2 of which lasted over 3 hours of terrible pain. Each one of the attacks make her throw up because the pain is so bad. Even though my wife who is breast feeding our 8 month old baby now can take painkillers that wont allow her to Brest feed the baby. The advice while at the hospital to avoid the painkillers was “well maybe she could not eat for 7 days till the surgery and drink protein shakes”. I’m so frustrated that Dr. Lewis literally looked at some ultrasounds pictures confirmed that she does need to have surgery but said since she has an appointment she can wait another 7 days. She will likely loose her milk supply (as of right now my baby doesn’t take a bottle but obviously we’ll have to get her over that since my wife had to be put on painkillers so she wouldn’t pass out at the ER) I don’t know how he does in the operating room but my respect couldn’t be lower for the guy when it come to the decisions that he made for my wife and baby. When she’s crying and throwing up again while having an attack and saying “I can’t do it, I can’t do it” I’ll having to think of something to tell her to help her, not pull a Dr. Lewis and send it to someone else.
