I've been going to Dr. Horner for years, and I've never had the first bad experience. He is always helpful and friendly. I never have to wait long to be seen and appointments are always scheduled in very timely manner. Dr. Horner always remembers specific things about my life and makes a point to ask for updates; it makes me feel special and of the opinion that he genuinely cares for his patients--eye care and beyond. Furthermore, the staff is also very accommodating and friendly each time I come in for an exam or contacts. I would highly recommend Dr. Horner to anyone seeking an optometrist in the area.

Purchased my daughter a pair of glasses from this doctor. She only had them two weeks when a decorative piece broke off. By the two month mark my husband noticed they were too small for her face. We called the office to ask about the warranty and was told, "Yes, you have one by you have to bring the glasses in." Well we drove the 45 minutes to the office and when we arrived the ladies at the desk snickered when we said we had broken glasses and needed to talk to someone. They pointed to where you try on glasses and said someone whould be with us, turned their back and paged for Kim. There were two seats so I asked my 8 year old to pick one and sit down. Shortly the Dr. Sam Horner III came out told my daughter she needed to move and gave her seat to another patient, which he left alone as well. Then Kim arrived and I told her about the broken piece and even brought it with us. She started to walk off as I was in mid-sentance. She got about 5 ft then said what is there something else? I said yes I believe she has out grown them in the last two months. She laughed at me and said when her parents brought her in I told her they were too small, but they insisted on these. I said wait a minute my husband and I are standing here and we are her only parents and I don't recall this conversation. She rolled her eyes and said well they are under warranty for two years, you get this same frame and it will take me 24 hours to order it. I asked if she could pick a different frame and she said, "When I picked these out for her, I said they were too small and her parents said that was okay." I asked if she had told me or my husband that , and she said, "I told you I told her parents!!" I replied, "We are her parents and you never told us that. Can we speak to the doctor?" We were told we could not speak to him and if we had a problem we needed to write him a formal letter, and mail it to them. We left disappointed and mad. My daughter has seen Dr. Horner every 6 months since he was 2 and she will be 9 in three months. We asked for my daughters records and were denied due to HIPPA!? I am her one and only biological mother, according to the law I should be able to have her records whenever I request them. We never got her records and my husband called and requested to have Dr. Horner contact him to discuss his practice and staff to see if this is how he choses to run his business or if he was unaware of the situation. We NEVER got a returned call. So be warned if you go I'm sure the "lovely" Kim will have informed your child's real parents all about everything and your glasses maybe under warranty, but if they don't fit correctly that's your fault. Please be sure to obtain your optician liscense before purchasing from here because their on sight staff is not knowledgeable, and should have their liscense suspended till they can properly read a chart for PD or even better until they can learn how to do their job and measure your children's face properly. We are now out over $300+ and yes we will be getting a new pair of the same glasses we can not use. I guess we will donate them to Lion's Club.

The best, sweetest eye doctor you could ask for! I've used him since I moved to Cleveland 15 years ago! He will even meet me on a holiday to rescue an injured eye! He is knowledgeable and always there for our family

I have been to this office twice. The second time was not my choice. First time staff and doctor was nice. I had to have someone pick up my contacts for me due to my work schedule. Got home and one pair strength was questionable. For 16 years I have had a yearly exam. Only once has my eyes stayed the same and only once have they improved. But instead of explaining anything I just came in and they gave me what I said I was using before the exam. Doctor didn't really speak to me and seemed mad. His attitude towards me changed. Insurance said I had to go to same doctor that checked eyes last time. I just got done. Staff was rude and so was doctor. Said it was a prescription causing my problems. That my contacts are fine. I asked if so why can't I see big lettering. Its the script not contacts or eyes and systemic. Thanks really answered my questions. Got no help scad come off script and come back we will check again. Ill go different doctor from Noe on and I don't suggest anyone to them.
