Biography
Maxwell “Chip” McDonald, III, MD, is a board-certified medical oncologist (American Board of Internal Medicine) who attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport. He then completed an internal medicine residency and his hematology/oncology fellowship training at the same hospital and medical school. At Willis-Knighton Cancer Center’s Hematology/Oncology Associates, Dr. McDonald treats patients with many types of cancer, especially lung and gynecologic cancers. He is fond of the comprehensive cancer center setting at Willis-Knighton with chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and all doctor visits housed in a single location. Helping patients with their medical needs is a highlight of the day for Dr. McDonald. In his spare time, Dr. McDonald enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and golf, exercise and investing.
