If you can still run, run away. Do NOT let this man conduct surgery on you. Do NOT let him conduct unnecessary procedures. DO seek second and third opinions. DO research.
I was a patient for approximately 2 years before I made the critical mistake of trusting his recommendation for surgery. He LIED to me as to the reason for surgery and how he would correct a recurring neuroma, he LIED to me about recovery, he LIED to me about the necessity for additional procedures of which I was asymptomatic. He recorded diagnoses of issues that I did NOT have, he AMENDED my medical records, he LIED in my records stating procedures that were never done, and conversations and symptoms that I never had. My foot is horrifically deformed and I am now legally disabled. I have been trying for years to officially bring this to light and have Dr. Hershman be accountable for his actions. Despite the outcome of any of my efforts, I hope my words will help keep others from harm.
