Place seems unprofessional. Never got the chance to make an appointment. I called multiple times, the first time someone picked up and hung up the phone immediately without saying a word. Second time I chose the option to have them call me back and save spot in line and I would receive a call back when it's my turn.......several hours went by, no call back. Third time I decided to just wait on hold, 30 minutes went by before I gave up.

When a doctor take an oath and do not abide by it, it's terrible for the patient. Thus, it's been 10 years since Dr. Selya did my surgery. It took over 3 years for me to find out the truth of what happened to cause me to be incontinent in both the bowel & bladder. Never ONCE was I or my family was informed that He ( Dr. Selya) caused a "dural tear" to my spine. I only found out this info years after I requested my medical records and actually saw it in writing. I have been disabled ever since 2012. To this very day, I am still suffer from severe back pain and multiple infections that has severely affected the quality of my life. What hurts the most is that the medical system at Doctors & Georgetown Hospital aided him and his colleagues in covering up this tragedy. Just wondering how many more of us(victims of his botched up surgeries) has Dr. Selya
gotten away with which caused either his patient's disability or death. When you get a 2nd opinion, ensure you do not go to any of his pal surgeons, be it orthopedic or Neuro surgeons, that seems to corroborate his findings. Just be cautious of Dr. Delta's surgical ability as well as who he recommends you to get a 2nd opinion from. You don't want to end up suffering like I am to this very day, with no recourse as far as quality of life and financial hardships, because of the statute of limitations law in DC or Maryland. Just saying...a hint to the wise is sufficient!

I worked with Doctor Selya from July 2015 until August 2016. I am a surgical technician and have had the pleasure of working with a lot of good ortho docs. I must say he is one of the best I've worked with. I've had two back surgeries and if I have a third I will be traveling to have it done by him. ( first two werent done by him) He always ensured the highest level of patient care was given. We have fone serveal cases together and the workflow is always the same. He is amazing at what he does. I highly recommend.

I went to see Dr Selya for constant excruciating back pain. He took an X-Ray and told me I am getting old so there is some spine degeneration. I asked what we can do and he said it might be helpful to look up some excercises on the internet. That's it? That's what his 20 years of practicing medicine has to offer? I went to a chiropractor who had an MRI done and found 3 slipped disks and a number of other things that she is currently treating. Pure laziness!

Dr. Selya is the best surgeon out there. He takes his time explaining all details. I have never left his office disappointed. Not only has he done my fusion but he has also done my daughters back surgery. I would only trust him to do any further back surgeries needed. I have highly recommend him to anyone who has asked me for a great back doctor!

I absolutely love Dr Selua! He is personalble, knowledgeable, and makes having an ailment actually pleasant. After he performed my spinal fusion from the front, I healed very well and don't believe I would have healed as well if he didn't perform my surgery in that manner. When my Mother in Law needed surgery( cervical fusion) I referred her to Dr Selya. Of course, she is doing well, no pain and doing just well! So needless to say, I now need the same surgery ! It was a no brainer that I wanted Dr Selya! Of course, I am nervous but I know I am in good hands!

Dr. Selya is not only loyal to his patients he is loyal to his staff as well, particularly to his Secretary. She was in a serious automobile accident last year and he immediately made himself available along with Dr. Weber to perform her surgery. Dr. Selya has an excellent bedside manner as well as an excellent personality and always puts his patients first. I myself have had surgery performed by Dr. Selya and I'd truly recommend him to both friends and family. He's a wonderful surgeon. His friendliness puts you at ease and he's genuinely concerned for your welfare. You couldn't ask for a better surgeon.

Dr Selya is the best spine surgeon out there.. He has helped in so many ways and am very grateful to him. I was very unsure about surgery on my neck but he made me comfortable and very sure of himself, very friendly, very kind & very loyal to his patients & staff. I would highly recommend to my friends and family.. which I have and they love him.
