I have been with Dr. Krieg’s office for a couple of years (fall 2020) I don’t like bouncing around to different PCPs: it’s difficult, stressful and exhausting. Since they moved their offices and (obviously) have been increasing their patient load, I feel like things have drastically changed for the worst.

I never see Dr. Krieg anymore. I will say the front staff, nurses and PAs have been extremely nice and professional. However, after being insulted and accused of something absolutely atrocious via a phone call with Kathy, I decided to switch to another primary care doctor, even though the process of it is hard on me.

Their office doesn’t have an e-mail or a portal in which you can contact them… which would put things in writing and make frustrating situations (such as mine) something you can refer back to.. (and hold the providers accountable).

Dr. Krieg (via the unpleasant Kathy) also seems super eager to push you and your medications off on specialists. I get the impression she doesn’t want any medication prescribed under her name/office. In the past 2 years I’ve been there she has slowly started saying “we’re not filling that here, check with XYZ specialist”. I also asked for a referral for a new endocrinologist and was told that they can’t and will not do that as they didn’t initially diagnose me with diabetes! What the heck? That’s the job as a primary care: referrals. It sounds a bit hypocritical if you add in the info from what was mentioned above.

They also do not want to discuss multiple things during your appointment, just like another reviewer said. She’s 100% right. Honestly I think it’s because they treat their patients like a cattle call, trying to get as many in and out as they can, throughly rushed and dismissed. “Treat em’ and street em’” philosophy.

I can no longer recommend her office to my family and friends. I highly suggest you, your family and friends stay away from this office. Don’t walk away, run!

My new PCP, Rebecca Hawthorne over at Texas Health Family Care is UHmazing! She sat down and patiently listened to me, explained things thoroughly and showed TRUE compassion for the things we discussed. I never once feel rushed or brushed off. Her staff even made the connections for me for the referral I needed! The portal for making appointments and being able to message them is amazing. My diagnostics tests are also uploaded through their system. My experience there was a breath of fresh air compared to the toxicity at Krieg’s office and Kathy’s attitude.

It should be noted that apparently Kathy, is Dr. Krieg’s sister. No wonder an intolerable person such as herself continues to be allowed to speak to patients on behalf of the Dr. Krieg.

My interactions with this place (especially ‘compassion fatigued’ Kathy) and the horrible, traumatizing things I endured will be a permanent mark on my soul.

Went in for an appointment for high blood pressure. While seeing the doctor I asked about another condition I was experiencing and was told to make another appointment that she couldn't discuss it at this visit. REALLY? , that was my clue to find another doctor. Im guessing its their way of charging the insurance for more visits. No wonder the waiting room was empty....................

I put in a simple request to be given a routine blood test for an existing condition. After being given the runaround on multiple occasions by both Dr Krieg and Kathy I am looking for a new physician. I was treated as ignorant and inferior, as if I couldn't possibly need to schedule what is normally a yearly blood test two months early based on my symptoms.
