Approximately 14 years ago I was pregnant with my first child and I was a nervous new mom to be. I had lost a lot of weight in the year prior and I was having undiagnosed gallbladder issues. I relayed this information to her, I had worked with older women and they had all insisted it was my gallbladder but I was yet to find a doctor who took me seriously and actually checked. I was 26, 27. About 23 weeks in I started to have a gallbladder attack. I went to then Springfield community hospital and up to labor and delivery where they called Dr Jackson who was my primary, and she told them it was simply heartburn and to give me oral lidocaine. Approximately 2 to 3 days of being in the same attack I begged the practice to let me come in. Dr Billings finally agreed to see me even though he was not my primary. I got there, I peed in a cup and within 5 minutes Dr delong came in to tell me to go to the hospital then and there. I had a lot of blood in my urine, I was yellow, and it ended up I had a blocked bile duct. I could have died and I was dismissed due to a careless and uncaring Doctor who thought she was smarter than everyone else. There was another doctor there at the practice, Dr McNeely who after that became like my primary. Dr Jackson never checked on me a single time while in the hospital for 4 to 5 days, I nearly had surgery but they opted not to. And I never saw her the rest of my pregnancy because she somehow was too busy to see me at each appointment I had with her. Very unprofessional. Dr McNeely offered to induce me a week early and he delivered my child and he knew how I felt about Dr Jackson and stayed later because I did not want that woman touching me or my child. Very soon after he left the practice. I wish I had contacted an attorney back then because it was negligence and probably malpractice on her part. I almost died because this woman thought I was a hypochondriac and instead of listening to me she ignored me. I would never ever ever suggest this woman to anyone ever.
