He took 4 of my wisdom teeth out. A few hours after the surgery I had no pain, swelling or bleeding and this was before taking medicine. He did a good job. Felt safe

My dentist recommended that I see Dr. Chiodo for a CONSULTATION/excision of a fibroma in the inside of my mouth. When making the appointment over the phone, I was asked to provide my dental insurance provider information, which I did and when I went to the office for my CONSULTATION/excision, the staff made a copy of my insurance cards. I was then brought back to the examination room where I was greeted by 2 assistants. Dr. Chiodo then came in DID NOT introduce himself to me, asked me where the fibroma was and I pulled down my lip. Dr. Chiodo then turned around to the table behind him took at the numbing needle and proceeded to remove the fibroma. There was NO CONSULTATION. Then a few weeks later, I received a bill from his office for $850. I was shocked and called the office and they explained that Dr. Chiodo was not IN NETWORK with my medical insurance. NEVER in a MILLION YEARS, would I have thought to call Horizon BC/BS to see if he was IN NETWORK because this was a fibroma in my mouth. IF Dr. Chiodo would've done a CONSULTATION and advised me that this was going to cost me out of pocket $850, I would've reconsidered the procedure due to the expense. After receiving the bill, I promptly called the office because I was shocked and in total disbelief. I explained that even when you take a car to a mechanic, they evaluate the issue and give you a price & you can either accept or decline the service. I asked to talk to Dr. Chiodo to see if we can compromise on the cost because he performed the service without any discussion to the cost, but he declined to speak with me and told his staff to call me and let me know the price of $850 stands.
I would NOT recommend Dr. Chiodo based on this circumstance.

Seemed in a rush between two extractions and did wrong injection site.

Staff is very nice. Chiodo took out my wisdom teeth and it was pain free. Recovery is never fun when you have teeth taken out but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Plus I'm healing so well. I HIGHLY recommend him.
