Most compassionate doctor I've seen in years. Very thorough. Takes the time to fully explain things. Accepts my insurance through VA (and it can be a real pain). Staff is the absolute sweetest and most helpful anywhere around.

I was referred to Dr. Jeffery McQueary by my family physician when I began to have trouble urinating and defecating and an exam in his office revealed I had a prolapsed bladder. I had
been a patient of this doctor for many years and our relationship was built on solid trust. When he told me he was going to refer me to a specialist by the name of Dr. McQueary at ‘Seasons’ because he personally knew of this doctor’s expertise and excellent ethics, I did not question him. The appointment was set up and the day I walked into ‘Seasons’, I was quiet impressed with the office setting and staff; everyone was very gracious yet professional, and the surroundings very pleasant. But, the best was yet to come. When Dr. McQueary came into the patient room where I sat, very nervous, he entered with a big smile, a handshake and a very calming personality. Immediately I began to feel at ease. After a more in-depth examination, the good doctor informed me that I not only had a prolapsed bladder but a prolapsed uterus and rectum as well. If it had not been for this man’s keen ability of helping me realize this was not the end of my world, I probably would have fainted. Then began a rather long conversation (good grief, I thought, is it normal for doctors in this day and time to spend so much time with an individual patient?) as Dr. McQueary began to share with me by his words and colored graphics everything I could possibly want to know about pelvic floor reconstruction. We discussed options and I ruled out what I did not want to do and, of course, under the guidance of his expertise, I asked what his thoughts were. Together we both came to a plan of action that I was very comfortable with. As a patient-doctor team it was decided we were going with the ‘Uphold Lite System in Final Placement with Uterus Present’. Yes, I had seen the ‘scary’ television ads placed by some attorneys about mesh use but I dealt with those ads and how I felt about them with Dr. McQueary before he ever got the chance to discuss the pros and cons of mesh use with me. So the big day was set! Surgery was something I not only was not fearful of, it was something I could not wait for. I knew I was going to be in very capable hands, I knew the surgery would take care of the very annoying problems I had been having so I saw nothing but a win-win situation. And I was spot on. The day of my surgery was seamless and blessed. It was made more special by Dr. McQueary and another member of his surgical team stopping by my bed pre-surgery for total reassurance and big smiles. And all flowed flawlessly. Post surgery went as I was told to expect. I followed my discharge orders but when my bowels did not start functioning as soon as I thought they should- well, it might have helped if I had taken the Metamucil as I had been instructed- I called the Seasons office and they gave me instructions on how to get me flowing freely. I had been given pain medication and I took the pills for the first three days but then did not see a need for them. Nine days post surgery I did contract an infection and an antibiotic was immediately dispensed that took care of that little problem. The most difficult part of the entire procedure? Having to stay off my horse long enough to heal.  I am now doing great and am so grateful to my family physician for referring me to Dr. Jeffery McQueary. We have a lot of problems with the health system in our nation today…but I can assure you this awesome Specialist and his team at Seasons should be the role model of how it all can and should work.
