Would highly recommend that anyone looking, find a different rheumatologist. Don't waste your time.

How this practice stays open is what I’m wondering? Dr. Navera Ahmed is probably one ( well actually, is ) the most disrespectful physicians I have ever met . She is constantly on her cell phone even when you ask the patient could be standing there asking her a question and she would always be looking down into her phone, with no regard. Dr. Ahmed has absolutely no concept for being on time, she moves at her own speed, and is so disrespectful to her staff. If you are not another physician be prepared to get treated like nothing . I’ve encountered numerous times where she has belittled her staff in front of patients. She believes the world is there to cater to her.....and only w!

This is day two of my being out of meds with no response from Dr. Ahmed's office. I did everything they told me to do and more. Still silence. They never answer the phone, they usually do not respond to voicemail, they are cold and haughty. The Dr. is rude, makes almost no eye contact, barely examines me, and tells me repeatedly that she's aware of my broken wrist (I've never broken my wrist) and that I'm overdue for an ophthalmology exam so she can't renew the very prescription she put me on (I told them repeatedly that I've had at least 4 eye exams in the past year). They treat me like a naughty child. I am so fed up that I'm considering just giving up on having my multiple rheumatological diseases treated. It's so hard to find a decent doctor in this discipline. The drs. in this practice act high and mighty but their treatment of me the patient is unconscionably unprofessional and uncaring. I had one appointment where she flew in, all hurried, looked at some papers, didn't talk to me, flew out with some unclear instructions, and I had zero chance to ask for clarification. More tests (the lab sees me all the time) and more appointments. Little explanation. The office actually told me, when I called for my Vit. D. results (I have a deficiency), that they don't give the results to the patient. How do these people stay in business?

After many years of looking for the doctor who initially diagnosed me with Lupus SLE, I have finally found her. Unfortunately, I have a horrible story to tell about my experience with her. I was having some serious health complications in 2009 and was referred to Dr. Ahmed by my primary physician at the time. My visit with Dr, Ahmed was my first and only visit ever. I walked into Dr. Ahmed's office and waited a few minutes for her to arrive. Upon arriving, Dr. Ahmed greeted me and said these words in the same manner "Ms. _____, you have Lupus, it can attack your heart, your lungs, your kidneys and your brain, it can be fatal. We will start you on medicine Monday." I was completed devastated and terrified as I new absolutely nothing about Lupus except people have died from it! Dr. Ahmed made no attempts to console, explain, give hope or show any human empathy of any kind!. She just stared me down in silence. She did not explain to me that patients live longer with Lupus than years before. She did not explain to me that there were different severity levels of Lupus. She just stared at me and allowed me to leave her office afraid and uninformed. I was so stunned I left her office in silence after mumbling "Okay". I was so terrified in fact that I proceeded to have a complete nervous breakdown which began that afternoon of March 2009 and ended in the spring of 2012. I searched every medical website I could find.........bad idea! I never went back to her because I was convinced that I was going to die. I did not sleep for more than 3 hours a night. I lost over 50 pounds in weeks and basically mentally checked out for a long time. I had so many side effects of anxiety that I was convinced that the Lupus was killing me. It was not until I was admitted to the emergency ward because of feeling faint in March of 2012 that I pursued medical help. I finally ended up going to another Rheumatologist in 2012 and was admitted to the hospital the very next day. I was given a blood transfusion of three pints of blood and three pints of artificial iron. My body had been under attack for years. The first thing the new rheumatologist said to me was, what are we going to do to help you get better and live an enjoyable life. I had no idea I could "get" better or live a somewhat normal life. I nearly died because of my fear and total disconnect with what Dr. Ahmed had told me, and how she choose to break the news. I truly feel in my heart that if she would have showed a little compassion and informed me just a little bit about what was happening to me, I would have never avoided medical treatment and suffered in the way I did. I get emotional just thinking about how she treated me. Judging from additional comments about this doctor, I can see that I am not the only person who has had a bad experience with her!

Dr cancelled 3 appointments b/c she was away on travel. Poor bedside manner, rude, dismissive, patronizing, has a I can't be bothered attitude. Get a new MD fast & save yourself some grief.

I cannot attest to Dr. Ahmed's knowledge as she did not show any. In addition, she was cold, rude, and utterly unprofessional. She seemed to fabricate a diagnosis with no evidence and clearly had no interest in hearing from myself as the patient. She became dismissive and condescending when questioned. I found her approach very questionable. Her office staff were equally difficult.

Dr Ahmed needs to find another profession. I am a nurse and know the proper way someone should be treated. She is rude, abrasive, argumentative. Save yourself trouble and find another doctor. She is laughable to say the least.

I found Dr. Ahmed's demeanor to be unprofessional and downright rude. When I tried to ask questions, she cut me off. I went to her twice thinking maybe she had a bad day. No. I had the same experience. I found Dr. Susan Lacks and am very pleased.

Dr. Ahmed is one of the rudest doctors I have ever been to! She barely shook my hand when introduced. She didn't even look at me when I explained my symptoms, and barely touched me during my exam. She was very argumentative. She cut me off at every sentence and was extremely condescending. My first visit with her is my LAST!
