My husband and I tried to have a baby for 2 and a 1/2 years with no success. My gyn referred us to Albany Ivf for a consult. We got in right away, had blood work ordered and everything else was done quickly. Dr. Horvath wanted me to get every test done possible to rule things out. I felt like he was very helpful and wouldn't give up until he found out why we didn't get pregnant on our own. My issue was scary but common. I wasn't ovulating on my own. Once that was determined we started with oral meficayions for a cycle then went on to injectables and 4 failed iuis. I tried to stay positive during all of this and the nurses were great and really helped me. Dr. Horvath was very straight forward. He suggested we move on to Ivf. If course we were concerned about the cost, but we would have done anything to have a baby. Thankfully we had great success and we welcomed our healthy baby girl in may. The stress and sadness was easier to deal with because if the support from dr. Horvath and staff

I was a patient of Dr. Horvath's over 20 years ago when he was exclusively affiliated with Albany Medical Center. His dedication and care for his patients were evident in every interaction I had with him. Yes, after treatment for infertility we were blessed with our son Matthew, who is now a pre-med student at RPI hoping to enter medical school in 2013.Thank you Dr. Horvath for challenging the odds with us and succeeding, the gift you have given us is beyond comprehension.

Dr. Horvath and the nurse assigned to me were great. Some of the clerical staff were less than helpful (when trying to get pregnant with reproductive endocrinology and working full-time, scheduling can be difficult). There clerical staff were not always accommodating to my schedule, when they really could have been. Although I really wanted to move on to IVF rather than do(yet another)IUI, Dr. Horvath thought we should get pregnant with an IUI and encouraged us to stay the road. We did and conceived our son!

Dr Horvath and his staff are the most professional and kind staff there are. My partner and I sought the practice to use IUI to get pregnant. All phone calls were returned in a timely manner, and questions were always answered promptly. The staff was genuinely happy and supportive when we got pregnant, and they were equally supportive when fetal demise was detected at 10 weeks. Dr Horvath came in on his day off to perform a D and C on my partner, since she wasn't miscarrying after two weeks naturally. He found me himself, in the surgery waiting area of the hospital and answered my questions. I am a nurse, but the doctor and staff, never knew that. They treated my partner and I with dignity and respect. He seemed to genuinely care when telling us our baby no longer had a heartbeat. I would recommend him to anyone.

I had a consult after relocating to the area from out of state. I met with Dr. Horvath and the Embryonologist Marsha Forman, in addition to the girls at the front desk and the IVF coordinator. I found all staff members to be extremely friendly and knowledable. The practice as a whole is very professional. My husband and I were very impressed with the time that each staff member took to discuss our treatment plan with us in detail. We look forward to working with Dr. Horvath and his staff to reach our goal. From what we experienced today, I would absolutely recommend others in need of an RE schedule a consult appt, discuss possible options with Dr. Horvath and his staff!!

I love Dr. Horvath and his staff! I started off at CNY and was told just after one ultrasound that the only way I would get pregnant was IVF even though we couldn’t afford it and that the huge mass on my ovary was nothing and I was laughed at for worrying about it. My husband and I then went to see Dr. Horvath, I have a VERY complicated case and he not once did he push us into something that we were not ready for or something that would cause harm. I had to see another doctor for surgery and was in the hospital for a week and Dr. Horvath came to see me every day unlike the surgeon who I saw twice. I think he has great bed side manner and just doesn’t tell you what you want to hear, he tells you in exact detail what is best and why, he is very straight forward and doesn’t sugar coat things. His staff is also great they call me every couple of weeks to see how I am feeling, they treat me like I am family not just another patient. I strongly suggest Albany IVF

Wow, I feel the need to add a good review here! I have had great experiences and two successful pregnancies after 1 attempt each with this practice and doctor! Dr is very knowledgeable, explains every answer to all my questions and has always been very professional. The staff is always great with scheduling, phone calls, emails, insurance, ultrasounds and testing. No complaints, and two beautiful babies to show!

OH my... mis-dignose combined with bedside manner put us over the edge. He treated our insurance, not us as patients. Disgusted and dissappointed. High hopes, but after moving to another doctor, we realized how 'off' our treatment had been.

Run, run, run as far away as you can. Go to another place, like NYC or Boston, unless your issues are quite routine. Once you KNOW your way around the medicine itself, and know how to find the Government reported success/failure figures you'll know why I've said this so strongly. Don't waste your valuable time and body here. Let's say this, our experience started out as hopeful but as we learned the medicine and got no good results, went out of the area and had real successes, spoke to others who had nil results with this doctor, what I'm saying isn't just feelings or personal animosity toward this doctor. Caveat Emptor!!

Agree with above; relieved it wasn’t just me. Didn't anticipate the dr's attitude – it’s not nice. He’s not hungry enough…yet more into comparing himself to other drs. I revealed info about a prev unrelated surgery. He shrugged-off that, saying he knew others who’d had the same and it was nothing major. Other med personnel laugh when I tell this - it was indeed major. He initially implied everything was my fault – before we’d even begun. It was like a planned fallback tactic. They have a lame psychological evaluation form that really the dr should be using. He’s just weird. Nurses and staff were nice, tried to be helpful, but were not as pro as I’d expect. They messed up more than once. Wonder what the turnover rate is? Place has a snack-shack look and feel. Seems like it’s closing down soon. Good!
