I got something in my eye and called 2 other office who couldn't get me in until the next day. Dr Paden's office worked in me that same day, in fact, they told me to come right down. They warned me I may have to wait since they will take back their already scheduled patients, but that they would see me as soon as possible. I had a scratch on my cornea. I was given some tears to use for comfort and told it should heal quickly, which it did. They offered a contact lens that would act as a bandage if the pain was too much, but I declined. The best way to describe the staff is happy. They clearly enjoy working for Dr Paden- that says a lot to me. I will be going back soon for my regular exam and to get some new frames!

I was on vacation in Oregon when my right eye spontaneously failed -- little to no vision, lots of pain. I now know that I have a condition in my right eye called corneal dystrophy where the epithileal tissue essentially doesn't hold onto my eye and can just slough off. Dr. Paden was the on-call physician at the Ashland ER, where I was transported after my right eye failed. Dr. Paden did not come to the hospital that evening. I saw him the next day in his office. I was required to pay for my visit out of pocket and have them bill my insurance later. Dr. Paden put in a bandaged-contact lens over the right eye, which was still sloughing off tissue. This resulted in making the erosion of the tissue worse and required that another doctor (a corneal specialist)remove all the epithelial tissue from my eye. My experience with this office was entirely negative.

Doctor Paden did a cataract surgrery that was very successful for me. He has his own surgery center to make it more affordable. He was straight forward, honest, and has a good "bedside" manner. Has done over 9800 surgeries in last 30 years. I recommend him for cataract surgery.
