Dr. Carron requested unnecessary and costly blood work tests in addition to the normal tests that go along with an annual physical. I had already had these tests in the past and certainly did not need them again. However she requested them from the lab without my consent --- and these tests cost nearly $1600. Despite two months of trying to rectify this billing issue, her office continues to jerk me around and totally disregard me. Very unprofessional and unethical business practice.

Dr. Carron and her staff at NYU are just amazing. She is very thorough, kind and has a great sense of humor! I depend on her for all of my medical needs and she always delivers. Her assistant is very helpful and sweet. Thank you Dr. Carron!

First Strike: She lost my medical files and didn't send over my lab results. Second Strike: When asked for specialist recommendations, she said look it up in the Oxford Health Directory. Third Strike: After waiting 10 minutes at the receptionist, she canceled my appointment because she said I was late. Such nastiness and unprofessionalism I have never encountered before. DO NO USE HER.

I like Dr. Carron a lot! She's an excellent dr. I am one that does not need coddling and it looks like that's the issue with the other users. She is not on time, but the wait is worth it. Humorous, always a smile, and diagnoses are very thorough, she actually caught something that a prior dr. didn't. And if she doesn't know something thoroughly she recommends you to a specialist. Always what a general dr. should do.

While my experiences with Dr. Carron were average at best, I feel compelled to write a warning about her HORRIBLE physicians assistant. This person has possibly the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. She's combative, hostile, patronizing, totally unhelpful. Whoever referred to her as a witch in the other comment is spot on. My interactions with her are so alarmingly unpleasant, that I am in the process of finding a new doctor. Stay away!

I saw Dr. Carron in Dec 2008 and had blood tests and an xray done. Both results were emailed to me, but the doctor never called to discuss them. After 4 weeks, and 7 emails and phone calls with specific questions, I have still not heard back from Dr. Carron. I would not recommend her.

Wow, by far the worst experience I've had at a doctor's office. The staff was both inconsiderate and incompetent. Went on the day before a holiday for help with severe food poisoning. Called ahead knowing it was close to a holiday and the receptionist tells me very enthusiastically to come in. Mistake. My reward is this witch Carron complaining endlessly about how she has a flight to catch (not that she was going to miss it anyway, I think she's just one of those people who likes to complain) rather than figuring out what was wrong with me. Had I not been delirious I would have been angrier. The assistant can't even find a vein for the iv, she's sticking me numrous times and I'm bleeding all over the place. The topper is that she somehow writes the prescription for the anti-nausea drug INCORRECTLY so CVS won't fill it that night unless they can talk to her directly. And surprise, surprise Carron ignores the cell # she gave me, leaving me in agony. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE!!!

Strange, unpleasant woman. Argumentative, and did not seem to believe that I DIDN'T have certain symptoms when I described the ones I did have. Lots of odd facial movements, very distracting. Not helpful.

The first time I went there I really liked Dr. Carron, as a person but I felt she gave out prescriptions way to easily and that I really didn't need them. She also pushed some "cosmeceuticals". After that I only saw the physician's assistant who was a total witch (and you know what word I really want to use). Dr. Carron is definitely a little wacky, and while I actually like her, I don't want her to be my doctor.

Dr. Carron is a exceptional diagnostician. She found a lump in my breast during a routine exam, and it was 2A breast cancer. I am now fine, and I owe her much appreciation and gratitude.
