I am unable to run or stand on tip toes. I had bunions and flat feet bunions were corrected. Flat feet are so much worse my ankle is bent in wards. The teno suspension they decided to do after I was on the table (had me sign papers changing the plan)…..was a complete failure. The calcaneous was cut off and moved over not helpful. And the gastroc was over legnthen. Overzelous surgery with new students practicing new techniques. I’m still paying for it not at all happy with out come. Less is more.

Possibly the best doctor I've ever seen. He seems to deeply care for his patients and their healing as a person would care for a family member. He seems to love his work and profession, taking time to explain things. He has authored platinum-level studies, has decades of experience treating athletes and is intimately familiar with current research and procedures. I drove almost two hours for my appts with him and can't recommend him highly enough!

Dr. Bouche is great. The clinic organization and staff are pretty much awful.

Dr. Bouché was amazing, he counselled me well on what to expect and made his decisions with me and justfied everything. I felt like he was very interested in getting the best result for me and that everything else came second to that. He is a brilliant surgeon and a very learned specialist, definitely at the very top of his area of expertise. My surgery went perfectly and the follow up care given by himself and Dianne (his great assistant) was second to none. My operation and care was paid for with travel insurance as I was on holiday in Seattle when my fractures occurred. The operation was a "Open reduction and internal fixation of complex distal fractures and dislocation, 3rd and 4th metatarsals, right foot". I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bouché to anyone.

As a Certified Athletic Trainer I found Dr. Bouche very knowledgeable and dedicated in making the right assessment, initiating the right treatments, and discussing the injury until you have an understanding of what the diagnosis is, treatments involved, and steps BEFORE needing surgery. I ended up having surgery for my chronic (since 91') plantar fascitis. So far so good (5 mo. post op). After seeing a variety of foot Drs. prior to Dr. Bouche (and his sidekick Diane) I have been very pleased with Dr. Bouche's professionalism, knowledge, dedication to your problem, and overall result. Dr. Bouche is a busy man because of his expertise, and may come off kind of rushed with you (hence appearing to have a weak bedside manner)...but if you ask the questions he'll slow down and answer you...otherwise he has patients to see awaiting his expertise. I appreciate his asst. Diane also. Both are DEDICATED to solving your physical issue, and getting you back in the saddle again.

I have a broken sesamoid bone in my foot. This is a somewhat unusual problem Dr. Boucher is perhaps North America's expert on it . He did an operation which fixed it, after four other doctors had failed to correctly diagnose it or offer any realistic treatment. In my view, Dr. Boucher is smart, conscientious and talented. His operation was a complete cure for me; with no functional deficit. I also think that he is personable. I have no problem whatsoever with his "bedside manner." Having said this, I don't care about a doctor's bedside manner anyway; what I want is results. Incidentally, I have had various other surgical procedures I'm related to my foot. So I have some experience with surgeons. Most of them were good to; but not all of them. I would give Dr. Boucher the highest possible rating.

I had Morton's Neuroma excisions. Rt foot Oct 84 (when at Virginia Mason-Seattle), very difficult job, I waited too long before seeking treatment; Lt foot Jun 07 (at current location), learned my lesson and caught it early, simpler surgery with rapid recovery) - both from sports wear&tear. Excellant results, both entered foot from topside. I returned to full sports activity: ski, hike, run, rollerblade etc. Unqualified recommendation for his excellance and understanding in his profession. He is an athelete himself who appreciates patients' desire to return to active life. Bedside manner? - I want his skill and dedication to his craft, not his "touchy feely - feel my pain". He fixed me - that's the greatest bedside manner of all. And he was otherwise OK as a person, as well. He's just busy and in demand.

Dr. Bouche was able to diagnose and surgically correct my extremely bad ankle problems when other surgeons wanted to perform alternate surgeries that in the end would not resolved the issues I was having.

Dr. Bouche has a very quick mind and during initial visit explains his findings at length. 2nd and 3rd visit he was accompanied by an intern. He is pleasant, but in the intern's presence, interacts with the intern instead of the patient. He did a good job of alleviating my pain, however, and does give out written info on home care. He was recommended to me by someone who had foot surgery performed by him and was very satisfied with the results. I definitely recommend him with the caveat that his bedside manner may be a bit abrupt, but not unpleasant.
