Here are the pros and cons about going to Dr. Kabir. I was a patient there for more than 10 years so I know them truly in and out. I should state that me being a patient that long was merely out of pure convenience as his doctor office is local to me in Katy and my mother was also a longtime client. Over the course of the years, they have gone down the dumps! Dr. Kabir’s front desk staff collectively share about 4 brain cells. Not only are they not the brightest, but they are also unbelievably rude and borderline racist. If you are a black woman, they will talk to you as if they have absolutely no respect. Tamitha, the nurse practitioner, is disrespectful and condescending. She will repeatedly try to win brownie points with you as a woman of color by nonstop mentioning how her grandson is Black. Who cares?! She is also condescending and will talk to you as if you are a child and it’s disgusting. Dr. Kabir doesn’t take black women and their pain during pregnancy seriously. If you are a black woman, please run! My first pregnancy in 2020, I complained of pain in my stomach. Abnormal pain. They addressed it as nothing. I ended up having a HUGE fibroid tumor removed during delivery that they “never knew about” and lost so much blood (bc he then couldn’t stop the bleeding) that I needed 2 blood transfusions. The healing process was treacherous and miserable. Not only that, my insurance was charged $103,000 for that delivery. I ended up getting pregnant a year after and stayed with him because of familiarity. Again, having terrible pain that was worse this time, I tried to understand where it was coming from and tried to get him to also give me light duty at work which he REFUSED. Mind you, I have GD and was considered high risk. I was in so much pain I had no choice but to get a second opinion. I went to Dr. Jenkins OBGYN in Katy. In order to get a 2nd opinion, they had to fax over my information from Kabir. Kabir then calls me once realizing I had an appt to be seen at a different establishment yelling at me over the phone and accusing me of only wanting to see this doctor bc they were black. If that were the case, why would I have been seen by you for so many years. He then tells me he has to reevaluate if he wants me as a patient and that I need to call him the following Monday to get an answer. He also states that he is the best doctor and that I won’t receive care like his anywhere else. All lies! His reviews say otherwise. My appointment with Dr. Ikwaugu at Dr. Jenkins went so well that I decided to stay with them. It was a night and day experience. I mean, the treatment and care you get is amazing and top tier at Jenkins OBGYN. Please, especially women of color, go to a place where you are appreciated, cared for and can at least take home sonogram pictures! Even this time, my c section was healed up in a matter of 2 weeks and seamlessly. Pregnancy is a time where you should be cared for by your doctor and not just treated like a number.
Oh & as for the pros, there are none. Please save yourself the trouble.

Sadly after so many years I am sorry to say...dealing with Dr. Kabir's staff is NOT WORTH IT!! they are HORRIBLE! DISGUSTING people and it only gets worst. I'm not sure if they are underpaid so they think they can just treat people in the worst way. They are BEYOND RUDE AND never have answers for anything. ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH IT. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF GOING HERE. He's a great doctor, but his staff is NOT worth dealing with. My biggest disappointment was telling this to Doctor Kabir thinking he would do something, but he could care less; which was the most disappointment moment since I met him over 20 years ago. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, DISGUSTING low lives working for him. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE

I give this Dr (if you want to even call him that) ZERO STARS!!!!! He is by far the VERY WORST Dr I have EVER seen. If your reading this LISTEN CLOSELY.... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TEARS, time, money and most of all DONT RISK YOUR LIFE!! I had 2 Apts with him both which I left in tears and extremely upset, worries, scared and feeling like I was NOT CARED FOR AT ALL!!! He didn’t listen or let me talk about my symptoms and concerns. And he would stop me and or interrupt me when I was talking. I am 44 yrs old with very severe symptoms leaning towards a gynecological cancer and had been bleeding straight for 47 days. I went to him hoping and praying he would help me but instead he only has made my life worse and done nothing to see that I am treated the way I should be treated given the severity of my issues. He rushed me out of his office after like 7 mins.... on the follow up apt and like 10 mins after the 1st apt. I have NOTHING good to say about this Dr and feel his license should be taken from him so he can never practice medicine again.

Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago. Husband took off to go with me.They call 15 min prior to my appt to say that they are not in network with my insurance so they can't see me. Unbelievable and totally unprofessional. Glad I found out before I trusted them with my health!

I absolutely love Dr. Kabir and his nurse Tamatha. Yes, it is a crazy busy office but they always take their time with each patient. Both of them are very good at what they do and it is obvious how much they love it too. I recently went to see them for my yearly well woman visit and was floored that Tamatha remembered specifics about the conversation we had during my last yearly visit. With all the patients they see on a daily basis it is amazing that they remember so much on each of them. Count me as one of the loyal patients!!!

I went with Dr. Kabir for my previous two pregnancy and everything went great, so naturally when I got pregnant with my third child I made an appointment with him worse decision ever. We waited over 2 hours just to get into a room and another 45 minutes for someone to come into the room. We did not even see the doctor, we saw his nurse Tamatha. She is alright I guess, but to be honest when it come to my baby I would prefer seeing the doctor. I gave them two more chances after that but it was the same thing with the other two appointments. My husband even asked Tamatha when would be a better day to schedule an appointment where we would not have to wait so long and she answered him very rudely. His receptionist even try to charge me full price for my appointment instead of my co-pay. She said that my insurance did not cover my visit. I had to get on the phone with my insurance and do her job for her. I literally had to hand her my phone so she could speak to my insurance representative and fix the problem. That was the last straw.

Dr. Kabir is one of the most caring doctors that I have ever met and his nurse Tamatha is simply amazing. They really take the time to get to know their patients. His staff is also very helpful and friendly. It is a busy office and you might end up waiting a while but I guarantee you that they give you more attention than any other office will. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
