Dr Dawson has been my family dr since 2005. He is a smart straightforward dr with a helpful pragmatic approach to medicine. I have always appreciated his practicality and effective recommendations.

Stopped going to this arrogant useless lump of flesh back in 2008; should be allowed to have a medical license. Save yourself some misery and go somewhere else.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Dawson since he started practice in Longwood; this was/is his first practice. We have been very satisfied with him and his office and are happy he is here. We are confident in his diagnosis and treatment. So far, we are doing well and are in good health and about to enter our seventh decade of life.

I have been seeing Dr. Dawson for several months and could not be more satisfied, both with his thoroughness as well as his sincerity in how he cares about his patients. He has seen me through the loss of my father and now, most recently, my grandmother. His patience is a virtue that is rare in today's world of busy physicians. I would recommend Dr. Virgil Dawson to any of my friends and family as well as to anyone in search of a physician in the area.

I have been seeing Dr. Dawson off & on for over 10 years as my insurance allowed. However, for the past few years, he has become more & more blase & uninterested in aggressively treating my husband and me. We feel that when we go there, it's a good 1/2 hour - 45 minute wait & we see him for only about 5-10 minutes tops. I lost 40 pounds in between my 6 month visit & he never noticed or asked about it. My husband has cancer & Dr. Dawson never even asks him about how his treatment is going - he is just there to provide prescription refills for my asthma & my husband's high blood pressure. I think he's stuck in a rut & maybe getting ready to retire - he might as well. I am on this website trying to find another PCP.
