Dr. Hipolito treated both myself and my son. I found him to be very knowledgable on the lastest drugs and drug usage. However, he did not detect that my son was still still depressed while on treatment, they found that when he was hospitalized at Laurel Ridge (he has bi-polar disorder). He stopped treating at Laurel Ridge when they changed their policy on patient records documentation. We went to him for about 2 years (about 2002-2004), but finally stopped when 1) he couldn't work with my son at Laurel Ridge and 2) I had a major conflict with his billing clerk who was excessively rude. Once the Doc's wife found out about the problem (she worked in the office also) she resolved it. It was always a LONG wait to see him and I was 10 minutes late one time and they wouldn't let me have the appointment AND charged me a late fee (I got that dropped by talking to the doc.)

Dr. Hipolito is more interested on making money than on the welfare of his patients. He doesn't seem very knowledgeable at all. My son has been his patient for two years for his ADHD problem and each time he goes for a check up he gets a maximum of five minutes with the doctor (after waiting for more than 45 minutes) and no help whatsoever other than the usual medication which he will not prescribe unless you have an appointment. This adds up to a lot of wasted time when you need a monthly prescription. His staff is also very rude and inflexible. They can cancel your appointment with very little notice but if you are unable to make an appointment they will immediately charge you for it. Also forget about having him call you because I am still waiting gor a call after asking to talk to him four days ago. This is another sad example of the medical profession taking advantage of insurance companies and patients.
