I've had other doctors that I would never see again after the first visit, but I've been seeing Dr Troutman for over 12 years and very happy with him. He usually spends enough time with me and explains things to me. He takes the time to answer my questions and concerns. He doesn't have samples of everything but he has given me samples at times to make sure I'm not allergic or to see about get a better idea of dosage. I would rater pay the copay than start taking a drug I'm allergic too or it just doesn't work. He doesn't keep me coming back all the time but when I do he can usually find a time good for me.

It is time I need my yearly physical and don't keep his phone # or I wouldn't be here today.

TROUTMAN is the rudest, inconsiderate, Dr. I have ever seen. His receptionist is his nurse and even draws blood. I am surprised he is still in business. I will never go back. He acts like i am a bother every time i go see him. I

Dr Troutman seemed nice enough at first. He took my labs (I was seeing him for exhaustion) and then his nurse said they'd called me when the results came in. Dr Troutman liked to discuss test results in person, so I went back in, paid another $35, and Dr Troutman said, "everything came back normal." You could've told me that over the phone and saved me $35, Dr! He went on to say that my exhaustion was most likely due to stress and a busy schedule, to which I responded, "yeah, that's actually what I figured." I also asked him to look at an itchy spot on my leg. He said it was an allergic reaction or something and, again, I said that that's what I thought, too. He then lifts up his shirt, points to a spot on his stomach, and said, condescendingly, "well, could you tell me what this is because you seem to have all the answers today." That made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. He spoke to me like I knew nothing. He was arrogant and pompous. I will not be returning.

I have been going to Doctor Troutman for 12 years now and I have never received anything but great service from him and his staff. If he feels a need to send you to a specalist his office will call and make the appointment for you. They go out of their way to help with any problems that you have.

I have been seeing Dr. Troutman for pretty much everything for 14 years. He is friendly and knowledgeable, and in cases where he isn't sure about something he gets you in to see a specialist. They are almost always able to get you in on short notice and I have never had anything but a minimal wait when I go to their office. I have seen him for everything lower back pain, broken/dislocated joints, infection, annual physicals, following up on cholesterol tests, etc.

I went in for a few things letting him know about my allergues and while taking my blood pressure it was rather high he asked about stress and i explain about work he then told me that i should spend the $50-60 a month for the meds rather then the $15 it would cost if he would give them to me and that he could not help me with my stress...... this was over 12 months ago i am only sending this because they lost my payment and ive had to spend $35 for a bank statement from a bank i no longer bank at to show them.

Dr. Troutman seems like one of those docs that is very textbook with his approach. I found it off putting how my mere suggestion that my symptoms might be a sign of another illness were shunned. If you want a doc that does not treat the entire body, this is a great choice for you. The office also seemed to be understaffed; the receptionist is also the nurse. While she's drawing your blood the phone may be ringing off the hook?? However, I will say that she seemed to be the most polite person in the office despite being over extended. If you truly want thorough medical care that does not cut corners I'd look elsewhere.

Appointments are punctual with little waiting, but I generally get the feeling that he is apathetic about my visits or concerns (despite the fact that I have been a patient for close to 10 years). My last visit he was also impatient (even rude) to the point that it will be my last visit. Additionally, there was a time I had a staff infection and the office never called to tell me the diagnosis. I thought it was a spider bite until I called 2 weeks later to report side effects of my antibiotic, and only then was I told I had a staff infection and needed to continue with the antibiotics.
