I cannot believe that this is a doctor who works with pregnant women. When the technician had some concerns about my sonogram, she went to speak to Dr. Berkowitz, and soon after, we heard him scolding her, something about how he was the doctor and that she was 'just the technician.' He came into the room, obviously not happy to be there, and did not take time to explain anything. He was terribly rude, insensitive, and impatient. He came off as very old school and chauvinistic, looking at my husband as he spoke. When I asked him a genuine question about the sonogram because I was confused, he said, 'WHAT is it that I'm saying that you DON'T understand?!', in a tone so short and condescending-- I just looked at my husband in such disbelief. I felt like I was a child he was scolding. He obviously was upset I was asking a question and taking up more than a minute of his time. This man has terrible bedside manner and should not be dealing with high risk pregnancy patients. At the end of our 'session,' I told him I never wanted to see him again. He looks to be on the verge of retirement (thankfully), but in the meantime, I advise everyone to stay away from him.

Rude, impersonal and completely incompassionate. He devliered news that there were "bright spots" on my ultrasound with a horrible explanation of what they meant, and then casually walked out. He should not be dealing with patients.

Rude, condescending and unprofessional. Refused to provide a test result I asked him to get when he spoke with another MD. Complained that he was "running late"--after I had waited TWO HOURS for a scheduled appointment. Literally screamed at me and put himself between me and the door as I attempted to leave. My husband and I were both shocked. Apparently, this individual is regarded as a top doctor in the city. How this could be is beyond me; I hope I never have to lay eyes on him again.
