Dr. Lowe and P.A. Mandy are a dream team of knowledge, helpfulness and patient understanding. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August of 2014 at which time my Dr. referred me to Dr. Lowe, I did my initial patient consult, was informed of all my options at which time we decided surgery was the best option for me. I had my surgery in Oct. and just received a clean bill from my primary Dr. as to no detectable cancer after my surgery. I do highly recommend Dr. Lowe and his staff for any type of concerns you may have. My name is Jim and I am cancer free for 6 months now !!!!! :)

Can't say enough about Dr. Lowe and his PA Mandy. I was diagnosed by another doctor that wanted to do an open prostatectomy because I was a Glisan 9. He said you can't get it all via robotics. He didn't do robotics and I think just wanted to do the operation for the $$. Went with Dr. Lowe and he got it all. I've been 0.00, 0.00, 0.1 and 0.08 PSA on my checkups since surgery on 9-25-13. So much faster recovery, less pain/blood etc. with robotics. Nurse in the hospital even remarked how prostatectomies were such a blood bath before Dr. Lowe and others doing via robotics.

Dr. Lowe came highly recommended as the best robotic surgeon in the Portland area. My Glisan score was 9 pre-op. Post op it was .33 All staff quite knowledgeable, Ashley very good, PA knowledgeable but not good with follow up. I was back at work after Prostectomy in 1 week. If you want the best surgeon use Dr. Lowe. You may not get a bunch of bells and whistles but you will get an amazing surgeon with a great track record and faster recovery times.

Came highly recommended. Very professional along with his staff. Went into all kinds of detailed explanations on my alternatives. Very prompt in getting me into his office. The follow through was excellent, called me several times on my return home to check on my well being. Julie his secretary was most helpful in our dealings with Dr. Lowe to include insurance paperwork. Dr. Lowe's PA was great too, and answered any questions that we had. Dr. Lowe saved my life with his efficiency and caring attitude. I recommend him highly

As others have noted, very poor about returning phone calls. He is a great surgeon, knowledgeable. Caring at bedside. Staff has been kind, can hear their frustration with being unable to help patients with obtaining results.

Almost impossible to receive results of tests which he has ordered. It's as if the patient has no right to know if cancer is present or not. His PA is non-caring, rude, and haughty. Terrible communication skills.

Many complication to surgery - continues 3 year later. Failed to see me in hospital day after surgery- associate showed up for less than a minute. I was released later that day - after that lack of concern treated post-op complication with another doctor. Would not recommend to anyone.

Good surgeon but getting questions answeredvery vague. After the surgery getting questions answered very difficult..don't call you back or respond. They stonewall you from talking to the doctor or his assistant. I would not put my health in their hands again.

Ten years ago this physician saved my life by performing a surgery that my local physician was not aware of. While I was in an emergency room in another city and he was in surgery he took a call from the ER physician to consult on my problem
