Called South Bay Gastroenterology Medical Group on a Thursday early afternoon set up appointment with Dr Zaidel. I'm a returning patient and needed to see the Dr for an issue I'm experiencing. Answering machine picked up, & I was on hold for 25 minutes without anyone answering. Message said to leave a callback number and after waiting so long I finally left message to name, phone #, date of birth, and previous Medical record number from their office. No response whatsoever, no correspondence or call back. I previously was very happy with Dr Zaidel, but with his office being run this way, I'll find someone else!!

Attempted to contact the doctor about how I was billed for about 4 weeks. Called every week and was told that my question was forwarded to the doctor with no response. I was told to make an appointment if I wanted to talk to him because the doctor told his nurse he wasn't going to do anything. Next thing I get a letter in the mail asking me to never come back. A five minute explanation and none of this would have been necessary. I guess questioning anything rubbed his ego the wrong way.

I love Dr.Zaidel. I've had him for the last 10 years and I have pretty serious and complicated gastro issues and he makes you feel like you will get back on your feet and be alright. He's gotten very busy lately which is unfortunate and sometimes the staff is a little flakey and rude on realizing I need to see him now, not in 3 months. I've personally seen him go to bat for me and my health and for that I'm grateful to have him as my doctor.

Dr. Zaidel is an outstanding doctor and a real-life, open, down to earth human being. He performed an upper endoscopy on me last year prior to gastric bypass surgery and, as I turned 50 this year, my first colonoscopy. In addition to his excellent technical skills, he is witty, easy to talk to, and thorough. Dr. Zaidel is very reassuring and easily put me at ease with his excellent bedside manner. I'm fortunate to have found such an excellent practitioner. I can't say enough about him! He's just the best! I only regret that he's a specialist and not a primary care physician. He's as good as they come!

This is the best doctor I've ever been to ever, and I've been to a LOT of doctors. Dr. Zaidel is extremely smart, warm, caring, very up on the latest of everything, and he's a really funny guy besides. I love him and wouldn't trade him for the world. He listens, spends time with you, and knows his stuff. He never condescends, but is a friend instead.

I always have to wait a long time when I am there. He is very busy. It is difficult to get a appointment with him. It is easier to get a appointment with his Physician Assistant while he is there so she can ask him questions and get prescriptions for me. He is very nice and knowledgeable. Calls are not returned timely when messages are left to find out test results.

Dr Zaidel is the best. I have to agree 100% with the first post on this site. He truly cares about his patients overall health. He often runs behind, because he does not rush patients in and out. He want you not 99% better but 100% better and strives to get you there. I can't say enough about what a wonderful physician Dr. Zaidel is. It is too bad that all Dr's are not as caring and concerned about their patients.

Dr. Zaidel raises the bar on professionalism and bedside manners. He listened to me, he took terrific notes, made excellent suggestions, didn't rush me out, had a great sense of humor and is extremely intelligent. I can't rate him high enough. He has elevated the standard on some many levels of the way doctors should be with their patients that it simply makes it hard to go to anyone else. Very thorogh AND he has the ability to understand life's situations and how they play a role in your life and your health. He even took the tiem to not only ask me I do for a living, but took a genuine intersted in what I actually do. The most comfortable and thorough doctor I have ever been to. I can't recommended him enough. Thanks Dr. Zaidel. You are simply thee best.
