Great help for first time parents. Will go into additional detail to make sure that you understand and educated. We interviewed numerous pediatricians and find her to be a great fit for us.

We have been going to Dr. SORVINO for 21 years and can honestly say she is the best pediatrician out there. Smart, knowledgeable, compassionate and the kids love her. She can be reached 24/7 which is unheard of today. You knows she cares about each and every patient even though you sometimes have to wait but you always have to wait for the best. Some of the comments below are just silly and commonplace at all dr's offices like charging for forms and to send records. Once again she is hands down the best. Wouldn't go to anyone else.

So baffled by the below negative comments. Mom of three boys and my oldest is ten - I have been a patient for 8 years. We switched to Dr. Sorvino from another doctor who missed a bunch of important issues with my kids - failed to send my kid to PT for his torticollis, failed to diagnosis asthma and did not refer us to an allergist when my kid had a rash after he ate peanuts. Dr. Sorvino is thorough and efficient. She is especially good with asthma and food allergies. She does very well with the tween set - she engages them and gets them talking. This is very important to us - she understands children as they age and is setting up for the later years when a kid might not be as forthcoming. She is always available for questions (sometimes - too many times - in the middle of the night) and has patiently answered mine for the last eight years. I don't understand why reviewers here want a best friend. I want a ped to know my kids, understand what's going on with them both mentally and physically and keep those three boys of mine happy and healthy.

Terrible bedside manner numerous times by doctor and staff. I was prewarned, "good doctor, Rude behavior." We gave them four chances too many.

Quick to send your child to a specialist but only after she collects her office visit fee. Does nothing to help coordinate care with the specialist. Charges extra for paperwork by the page if you want to send records to another doctors office. She hides behind her billing service when extra charges appear on your bill. Billing service proceeds with collection agency.

My daughter has gone to Dr Sorvino for years. Yes, she will tell it to you like it is. No, she doesn't coddle parents and give out antibiotics like candy for every sniffle. But here's what I know. I can reach her 24/7. HER! Not her associate, not one of 50 other docs in the practice. Her. Wow that's valuable to me. She is as smart a pediatrician as I've seen. Perfect blend of cautious (won't over prescribe meds) and proactive (runs tests when needed). Can she run late? Yep. Find me a doctor that doesn't. She's a solo practitioner. That's the trade off for seeing the same doctor every time. I've been in those factory practices where you barely know who you'll see visit to visit. She knows my kids, remembers their illnesses and she genuinely loves her patients. Yes, she dresses nicely, I'm not sure why other reviewers see this as a liability? I want a doctor for my kids who is well put together and not a disheveled mess. But I really don't see why that point is raised by other reviewers.
In short, having had kids who needed hospitalization, there's no one is rather have on the other end of the phone at 2am than her. You won't find her level of care anywhere else. I know firsthand.

I have been with this doctor for a year. Our first experience was the hospital visit, 2 times charged $390 per visit, with copay, but still two times copay. She insisted that no vaccines at the hospital which I though it was reasonable, but once in the office I was not feeling comfortable with the prescriptions with no previous discussion or proposing other options, and I agree that she loves specialists. But Dr Sorvino makes sure that you see her like the one who knows, no only on the condescend talk but on her super expensive cloths, and you have to follow. She does not discuss options, there is just one option. We were disappointed on our last visit with food options and vaccines. So, no next appointment was given, nothing.I would have to agree with staff manners, but I didn't have to wait a long time, the 2 hours of some postings,..I am transferring..
