I had my gastric bypass December 2003. I was 240 pounds and went down to 106. I gain some back but I am in between 130 to 140 pounds for the last 7 years. Yes your skin will say if you lose weight, by surgery or without...but some will tighten up a bit over some time. You will have tiny little scars, but depending on how you heal if they are noticeable by others.. My scar are light and thin, smaller than a stretch mark. I loved Dr. Ehrlich as my doctor, and as person. He was the real deal, and not dripping with honey and bullcrap. If you are in his office, you are mostly hoping for help to lose weight.. He is your guy. If you think that you will lose weight and look like a sports illustrated bikini model.. I don't think you should have the surgery.. But this surgery can give you, your health back, your energy levels and you self esteem.. Once you get those things, then you can work on the modeling part.. I am happy that luck sent him my way, cause I don't think any other doctor could of done such a great job.

Dr. Ehrlich & his staff are AMAZING!! I went through this journey with them feeling very comfortable & well informed. He & his staff are very caring & sensitive to their patients well being & feelings. I was always made to feel that I am "part of the family". Every step of this journey was discussed open & honestly. Any side effects, potential problems as well as the positive aspects were disclosed & discussed. I never felt in the dark about anything but rather was completely comfortable with the joint decisions made about my health. Give Dr. E & his staff a call. They've been a blessing for me & so many others. I'm sure you'll be pleased, too!

Dr. Ehrlich is amazing! I've seen a lot of doctors in my day, and it's hard to find someone who doesn't discriminate. I was able to feel comfortable and honest right from the start. His office staff is also amazing- they make me feel right at home. I look forward to having my surgery with Dr. Ehrlich.

While my surgery was completely fine and I am healthy, I was extremely disappointed that I was misled about what my body would look like afterwards. Initially I was told there would be no scarring or sagging skin, but then after the surgery I was told the scars would in fact be visible and I would have sagging skin. I don't know that I would have gone through with the surgery if I was told that up front. Potential patients have told me when they spoke with the Dr., he has made the same claims to them which are completely unfounded. I am very uncomfortable knowing that I was provided false information, especially that now it is too late to do anything about it. Now I am facing the very real possibility of plastic surgery to fix what I thought wouldn't need to be fixed.

Dr. Ehrlich will lie to you. He will make promises he cannot keep, especially around the after math of surgery. I do not recommend him.

This doctor sells surgeries like used cars. Attend one of his seminars and you'll see for yourself. He says scars will be undetectable but Using his medical glue technique that is not true. He says what you want to hear, because he is taking advantage of people looking for miracles. To be fair the surgery went fine and nothing is "wrong". I just dont like being mislead. If you have options, go find someone who's not going to tell you everything you want to hear so they can collect your insurance money.

Dr. Ehrlich changed my life! After he performed lap band surgery, I lost 100 pounds. The surgery went beautifully -I had no complications and was back to work in a few days. He is caring and attentive throughout the process, and his staff is outstanding!

Seems to know his stuff. You have to go through seminars first . Then decide if you want lap band or gastic bypass surgery. He sends you to a nutitionist too for six months at St . Vs or it could be at Norwalk, which ever you prefer. Then you decide if you really want it. I n
