Dr. Esch was extremely rude. My daughter had a visible injury to her foot. Her toes were pointing in the wrong direction and she was couldn't walk on it. It was swollen and very bruised. The ER doctor said it was broken and that I needed to get her to Dr. Esch ASAP. I called Dr. Esch to make an appointment and he basically said the ER dr was wrong and my daughter was fine. I did make and keep the appt, which was 2 weeks away. Her foot was STILL the same after 3 weeks post injury. Dr. Esch proceeded to squeeze, pull, and push on my 11 daughter's foot and then berate her for crying saying there was nothing wrong with her and she was just wasting my money. I will NEVER use him again. He is rude, arrogant, hateful, and pushy. He said the ER DR didn't know what he was talking about. I insisted that the walking boot wasn't working so he put my daughter in a cast. Now, 2 weeks later, there is STILL no improvement. As soon as she gets the cast off in 2 days, I will be looking for another dr!

Dr. Esch treated my 98 yrs. old mother on Medicaid. He corrected a wrong hip replacement surgery done in Florida that cause her leg to dislocate just by her extending it. My mom's leg could've been a disabled limb dangling with no bone support but Dr. Esch saved her hip and her leg bone. He performed a miracle that lasted for over 12 years after Dr. Esch surgery. Mom was walking to the day she died. In her last year of life he put her on a plastic padded hip brace that provided much comfort and safety. God bless Dr. Esch.

I have been to Dr. Esch twice in ten years. Once for a broken wrist and just recently for a shoulder problem. Both times I have found him and his staff to be most helpful and professional in assisting me with my problems. The wrist healed nicely and no further problems. The shoulder required surgery and he referred me to one of his partner's who specialized in this type injury. I think Dr. Esch is an outstanding physician and very knowledgable. He treated me very well. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an orthopod!!

I broke My foot, after about ten visits, I quit going to him.Every week he look at my foot and said it was broke, DA I new that. Oct 1st he told me to change to a Running shoe, I did. Then when I seen him the next time he chewed me out for wearing shoes! He wrote in my medical records that I was in control of my own care and would not do as he said. When I requested a copy of my medical records, they charged me for it. Then had them retyph as to cover there inadequate care. He was a rude doctor and this is the thrid time my family has went to him. Each time always stateing the problem and doing nothing about it. I would say to some who needs a doctor stay away from St Johns Mercy Clinics, In joplin Missouri. The one doctor they had out of ten of them has left for a new practice.
