Have met with Dr Cassidy, three times , in recent years. He is not rude, for sure. Very much a Knowledgeable , Professional, gentleman. Took time to explain everything and answer all questions and was not in a hurry. His reputation for surgical matters is what brought us to him.
We had read the negative reviews. We do not think so. Everyone can have a bad day, Patient or Doctor. We are glad he is part , of our medical family.

Dr. Cassidy did surgery on me in 2004. Staff infection in my spine which had eaten several vertebrae. It was on an emergency basis that I got him. Dr. Cassidy true is not known for his bedside manor but as a surgeon he can't be beat. I know of another person that was in a boating accident that had metal stanchions pierce her leg and other areas of her body from Norwalk Conn. and they thought she would have to have her leg amputated. The surgery was extensive but her leg was saved and she recovered completely. You can say what you want about bed side manner, but I would take a quality surgeon like Dr. Cassidy anyway day over bedside manor. He is know all over and has patients come from a far just to have him do their surgery. No one will ever touch my spine but Dr. Cassidy. It is a privilege to have him as one of my doctors and know him as a person. His staff is as excellent as he is and that office runs like clock work. Quality at its best.

Read his reviews. I wish I had before I went. He was uninterested, uninformative, terrible communicator. Either that, or he just doesn’t care. Would not recommend and will not return.

Two years ago Dr Cassidy performed major surgery on my lumbar spine that resulted in great relief of my suffering. I was told he was among the best, and to me he surely is. His Social skills are not the best but his medical Care is excellent.

Wish I could give this dr, negative stars. He was assigned my case, I have a burst fractur. It was like pulling teeth to get ANY information from the man. He couldn't get out of my room fast enough. He signed discharge papers n me 37 hrs after I was admitted. I was NOT stable enough to go home. Was readmitted 2 days later with ileus, hospitalized for almost a week after that. Maybe listening to patient questions and concerns would be a good thing for him to practice.

Very rude answering his phone during our consult. Didn't want to answer questions. Also did not do the surgery - we found someone else!

Very rude...doesnt care if patient is in pain. Doesn't explain anything regarding surgery. Is only worried about insurance company not the patient.

Referred by my physician for a second opinion re surgery on cervical spine...took three days for a return call from staff, Dr. Cassidy refused to see me...no reason given. Perhaps he is knowledgable but certainly the most rude, arrogant response to a patient I have ever experienced

Operated on ulnar nerve. Had to redo surgery week later because he didn't put nerve in slot. Woke up twice during second surgery. Tried to sue him but was told others were trying. He should not be allowed in any hospital ever. He used metal staples instead of sutures in my elbow because they were faster and cheaper. They hurt and prevented me from resting elbow.
