Dr Shakiba helped me with my urinary issues . He was very attentive, listened to my problems and answered all my questions. He explained fully and in layman’s terms his findings and treatment plan . I had a Myomectomy 2 weeks ago. My bikini cut scar is healing very well and hardly noticeable. Dr. Shakiba is the best doctor. I’m 1 month post-op from robotic laparoscopic surgery performed by Dr. Shakiba at Hackensack Medical Center. Previously I’ve had two c-sections and after consulting with Dr. Shakiba in his office twice, he came up with an operation option that I felt comfortable with. After an overnight stay I was back home. In the following days I only experienced minor pain and my abdominal scars look minimal. I was very nervous about the procedure at the beginning but now I know I have made right decision to go for it with the RIGHT surgeon. Dr. Shakiba is a very caring and highly skilled doctor!!! I wanted to share my wonderful experience to give others the trust and peace if they were to decide to move forward and have surgery. I have suffered with uterine fibroids for a few years and have been reluctant to have surgery because of downtown and discomfort which usually follows a hysterectomy. Learning I was a candidate for minimally invasive surgery gave me relief and I decided to move forward. I had a laparoscopic robotic partial hysterectomy and it was the best decision I have ever made. I felt comfortable in a couple of days without taking any heavy pain medicine. After a week I felt great and now at almost three weeks later I'm ready to resume my workouts. Much thanks and appreciation to Dr Shakiba and his team for this amazing smooth recovery from his state of the art procedure.
