Dr Lester was my oncologist and he was incredibly rude, condensing. At one point he said “what do you want from me”. I said well, I want you to monitor my cancer and help me live. Just a rude guy.

Dr. Lester is one of the most arrogant and egotistical doctors I have ever come across, and I have worked in the medical industry for 10 years. He does not take the time to let me answer a question, talks down to me, and talks down to his staff. Avoid this doctor if you can! Debbie who works at the front desk is great, although she is getting screamed at by Dr. Lester every time I have seen him. I don't know how she works in that environment.

Dr. Lester is an example of the worst kind of physician you never want to see. Rude, arrogant and full of his own self-importance, if you ask a question he evades answering and talks down to you as though you're too simple to understand. His bedside manner is atrocious, as though he enjoys conveying bad news using emotionally hurtful words. We experienced him talking down female staff members in a misogynistic way behind their backs, calling them names such as "dumbbells," etc. Sad because his staff is the only positive thing we experienced in his office. He brings pet dogs to the office every day so you may want to avoid visiting if you have a fear of dogs or allergies. We found his treatment formulaic and no better than any other oncologist. We abandoned his practice for a new doctor as there was no need to put up with his arrogance and rude bedside mannerisms. We've heard in the meantime that Dr. Lester plans to retire in the near future. In our opinion that time can't come too soon

Dr. Lester has an okay staff, but he himself is a very irritable and intolerant physician. He made a subtle joke about my Mexican heritage which made me realize that he is racist who sees Mexicans as inferior. This made me feel very uncomfortable. When I spoke to him about my stage 4 colon cancer, he looked at me like an inferior, worthless being and treated me even worse. He is not up-to-date with recent cancer research and he refuses to accept that medicine is advancing beyond his old-school knowledge. I would NOT recommend Dr. Lester to anybody under any condition, especially anybody of Mexican heritage.

Dr. Lester was my Oncologist in 1985-1986. I received treatment (chemo) for my breast cancer for about 6 months. I am happy to say...that was almost 25 years ago...Wow.. and I have been cancer free. He was always very caring and I know I received the best treatment that was available at that time....I will never forget Dr. Lester. I am so glad I was referred to him. I have also referred others to him. Wanted to stop in and say Hi, but I know he is very busy and I now live in Murrieta, CA. signed: Bonnie M.
