This doctor's office is under investigation by Anthem Blue Cross and the Medical Board of California. (Updates pending)...

I left his "practice" for the following reasons:
Unprofessional doctor. Unprofessional front desk staff.
Absolutely horrible communications by this office with their patients.

Third world medicine, at best...
....on average, takes 2 days to get through to the office by phone, (they never return your calls either); 5 to 7 WEEKS for the earliest available appointment when you finally do get to talk to someone.
Tekola is the only "doctor" there. No physician's assistant, no nurse practitioner, and he has the gall to accept new patients, (probably because so many patients get fed up and leave his dog-and-pony show office).

Ignore the five star reviews left here by employees and employees friends. If you really want to get a feel of what you will experience as a patient at this office, just read the one-star reviews which accurately reflect the unprofessionalism of this doctor and his staff. (Overrated at 1 star.)

The doctors' creed of "Do No Harm" does not apply at this office based on my experience.

Dr. Tekola has been our family physician for years and we love him. He always listens to the need/concern and then takes the best course of action for that health concern. He is very easy to talk to and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Tekola!

I tried to schedule an appointment for my father for over a month with no success. Not only they don't pick up the phone, they don't care at all. After a medical emergency and urgent care visit, we needed to get a referral to a specialist so we went to Dr. Tekola's office. Very rude lady in the reception didn't want to talk to us, claiming the system is down and said she will give us a call but never took our contact information. After a half an hour of explaining that this is an emergency, we left the office and now are trying to change a doctor to get medical help. Never got a chance to see the doctor, but what difference it makes to have a great doctor if you can't see her/him?

Dr. Tekola is a great Doctor, he took care of my Dad 14 years ago . Now he is taking care of me and my whole family, he listen very well to his patients and give the very appropriate treatment after thorough Lab. work. He is very cooperative with every patient need. His office is always nice and clean and staff are very understanding and cooperative. He always give enough time to each patient.

Dr. Tekola is an excellent doctor. I am 65 years of age, I regularly visits Dr.Tekola's office. I am very pleased with the service, he is very attentive and caring regarding my health, and gives great recommendations and referrals. I wanna wish Dr.Tekola a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dr. Tekola is nice and meets my need whenever I see him. Here is where the rare problem arises. The office staff will invariably tell you that they are booked solid and that I should go to the ER if I need to be seen right away. I have scheduled an appointment for 10 days later! Nowadays, I skip that phone call and just walk in. I am seen within 20-60 minutes, far less than I would have to wait at the ER. Isn’t that the point of having a primary care doctor?

The office staff are careless and they seem downright lazy. My wife waited three weeks for a referral and finally had to call in and remind them. They gave her some kind of lame excuse. They were equally slow when it came to test results. She went and had a cat scan early on a Friday morning and the technician told her the test results would be available by noon. When she called in around 1:30, the office staff had the gall to tell her that the results would not be ready until next week. She called the test center and they confirmed they results had already been faxed to Dr. Tekola. The office staff finally found the test results after repeated calls. They are chronic liars and really should be fired.

Horrible rude staff and the Doctor does not care if a patient is suffering most people that do like his services is because they are getting medicine they do not even use while patients who suffer illnesses that require medications are judged very inapporiately I plan to take this to malpractice no one should feel afraid of there doctor or not be seen and have to go to a emergency room so horrible !
