His staff was also excellent and very caring for us (both myself and my daughter who is also a patient of his)

This doctor really has a passion for what he does!! He spent a lot of time with me and explained everything and truly mad me feel part of a team with him. I had a very complex problem that he worked through with me, helped me understand what was going on and personally set me up to have a CT scan that same day. Then, since he was going out of town for the weekend he even gave me his cell phone number in case I needed anything!! I've never seen a doctor like Dr Purpura in 35 years. This guy is one in a million.

Unfortunately, I am not satisfied. The receptionist is nice, however, very unprofessional. I had to call a quite few times to get the results and when I finally was called back she would tell me everything was normal when it wasn’t. I wanted them to call me and explain the results in details but all I got was the receptionist who can’t articulate herself well enough in English and nothing was explained to me! I would not recommend this doctor because the staff service is very pooooooooooooor and you will have to call and be persistent to get your results and if you do get them from that lady she won’t be able to explain them to you. I can’t say too much about the doctor because I am judging his staff at this point . I don’t want to keep seeing one if I can’t trust his employee’s credibility . Good luck.

I was referred to Dr. Purpura by my family doctor and I can't believe my good fortune. Dr. Purpura is attentive, patient and compassionate. He always had time for questions or any concerns I had about my surgery. He is knowledgable and always on top of the most recent research. I felt as though I didn't have to worry about a thing, I was in good hands. I've told everyone I know about this wonderful doctor.

Dr. Purpura delivered my first child in 1996 and I was made to feel as if he had never experienced such a miracle before. I felt as if I was his only patient. I was thrilled when my needs for an OB ended at the same time he limited his practice to GYN only. He's simply the finest doctor I've ever had. Caring, compassionate and so easy to talk to. I've recommended him to everyone I know. Those who have gone to see him wish they had listened to me sooner.

Dr. Purpura is the most compassionate and knowledgeable OBGYN I know. He makes you feel like you are the only patient in the world. He is on the cutting edge of medicine for women. When I had surgery at Lake Forest Hospital, the nurses who were preparing me were talking about him and how everything runs smoothly when he is in the operating room. His office staff makes you feel like you are home when you walk in. If I left town, I would travel for my appointments. Dr. Purpura believes in the holistic approach to medicine. He is gifted in medicine.

This is a doctor who truly cares for his patient's. Everyone that I know who has seen him can't beleive they found a great doctor. He is on staff at Northwestern Mem. Hosp. and also at Lake Forest Hospital. He only practices Gynecology and that's what most women who are love. They don't have to sit with all the women who are pregnant in the waiting room. His office staff is unbelievable. I truly wish all women who want a terrific doctor who cares and is ultra intelligent in what is best for their health to see him. I have recommended him to the Village Trustees where I live and they all see him as their doctor.They love him. He is not aggressive but is very caring and watches over you closely. Many of my friends who have gone to him have moved out of state but return every 6months to a year to see him. They won't change for anything. Women need a doctor like him, especially one who takes time and cares for you like you were his family. He is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Purpura was by far the best OBGYN i have ever seen. He made me feel so comfortable and was so funny. He made a ususally very awkward experience very comfortable. I recommend him if you are in the chicago area.
